ok now pro althlets dedicate themself completly to there sport. working to get better the intire day and the strain that these athlets put on themself is unreal. and the chance of sever injury is high for mostly every sport there is. i doubt most people could even do half of what they did. are they paid a lil too much maybe but they do deserve these high contracts. beside these they provide entertainment for the rest of us.
and u say they dont do much... then why do singers get millions of dollors there using there god givin ability most athlets work to get were there at even if there gifted

anyway, the part about artists is true too, the biggest difference is that the people pay them by buying their cds etc, yet atheletes get most of their money threw sponsorship, clubs that want to "buy" their players and advertisement...
if i look at soccer these days, it makes no sense anymore, what happened to sticking too your club, the best dutch players go to england and other countries, and we get people from other countries in... it makes no sense anymore...
