Why does everyone say that Nintendo's dedicated to child gamers...that stoped with the release of Gamecube when they started making and accepting games for an older audience. For a start there was Geist which was an 16, with the Wii there's Red Steel (16+), and Godfather Blackhand Edition (18+) and an intent for more to come.
Besides, how many computer games companies have been around for over 100 years. Nintendo was originally founded September 23rd, 1889 at until around 1960s/70s they made hanafuda cards which could be used to play various games and also gambling, although that became banned. Of course, I am aware that this proves I'm a fanboy but I think my point is fairly justified.

But Nintendo makes mario and other games while Abox and Playstation have a wide range of games and not having msot of their best games being variations of mario and so on. Exception to games like Red Steel. Nintendo focuses more on maknig game experience better than gameplay that Xbox and Playstation do. They have different strengths. So it depends if you prefer decent gaming experience or high graphical games that take awahile to beat. Although many people like the Wii you msut keep in mind it's not really "next gen" as graphics and game style is not much different from Gamecube while 360 and PS3 ahs evolved quite abit. Maybe primative isn't the right word but Nintendo doesn't modernize all that much considering Xbox and Playstation can steal their ideas and have better games.

and while the nintendo will always have a dedicated following of younger gamers, those gamers taste will also mature as time goes on, giving other consoles a larger and larger audience to placate. Microsoft and Sony ,over time, will have amassed a following unparalleled to any other form of media to date.

360 and PS3 only evolved graphic and data wise. Game style's gone way up and there's loads of other games than variations of Mario. In fact, there hasn't even been a Mario game released for Wii yet. There are games like Excite Truck and Mercury. They're not something you'd have got o Gamecube. Anyway, PS3 and 360 have veryfew good games (alright...maybe this doesn't apply to 360...) and nothing decent looking due to be released. Overall, the Wii's more advanced in Game Style and Gaeplay then the others. There's also the fact that it's cheaper.

Ah, lets not forget Halo3! i hate sounding like a fanboy but thats gonna push the system a little more despite what people may believe. The simple truth, i don't see any games on the wii that personally interest me. while the resident evil game looks and plays just a tad better on the wii, its still not enough to sell me. i want 80+ hours of gameplay, i expect to get frustrated to the point i turn it off for an hour only to get madder and return my focus to the task ahead. untill the wii offers me something in return i'll just stick with my pc/360

You obviously missed the bracket's where I said that "(alright...maybe this doesn't apply to 360...)" when I was saying about the games. Anyway, you can easily get at least 80 hours of gameplay from Excite Truck, Red Steel and Twilight Princess. Also, there's a game called Orb which is still in development...and being kept quite hidden...but from what I've seen of it it's probably going to be the company's first big success. More accurately, their first success since it's the first game they've ever made. Anyway, it's coming out on Wii. God knows when.

I hate it when people say the Wii is for children. Ya, they have kid and family oriented games, but is Resident Evil for the family? No. I know there are others that I can't think of, but that is my main point.
And yes, the PS3 sucks in my opinion.

ya I'd prefer the 360. however, about the wii, although it may have some good games, I really don't reccommend anybody spend $250 on it because with a little cash more, you can get the 360 which is a much better buy in my opinion.

Assassin's Creed isnt out on either atm but it will be out on PS3 and 360.
Id say the PS3 is most famous for Resistance and Motorstorm. There aren't that many games out yet but these 2 are both definatly very good games and were both launch games. In America its probably just famous for Resistance as the game was the only real game out for the first 4 months or so and without it the PS3 would have been dead.
