Squall's mom Raine loved Laguna and Laguna loved her....but Laguna loved Julia, rinoa's mom first, then he got sent in to the ocean by falling like an idiot and then he met raine,raine became pregant and that is squall. Laguna is squall's father. I believe it says that somewhere in the game. And technically Ellone is not related to Laguna.Ellone only thinks of laguna as a father but he is squall's dad not Ellone's.

But then, how did Ellone meet Laguna the first time? I know it wasn´t in Winhill...

Yeah, Ellone was adopted by Raine after her real parents died. She met uncle Laguna at Windhill village after he got 'knocked' and 'washed' away from Eshtar border.
