Did anyone get the warning in FFX?
i think its just me but final fantasy X has a major warning in it about whats going on with the world and about what has already happened its government is corrupt because one Religion has absolute power and they execute anyone for not agreeing with what they believe doesn't that have overlying tones of what went on during the dark ages with christianity and I realized that its happening again Christianity is slowly taking over the American government do in that way its a warning to stand up and fight for what you believe in.

Erm..i did see something in FFX in terms of religion...eg. in the world of spira, people believe in Yevon....but later they found out some shocking truth that destroy the very foundation of their faith. It could happen today, we've become so obsessed with religion and just accept what is told...what if it's , on the contrary? hahaha.
Oh btw, i don't think christianity is creeping back..as many country is the world today is a secular state...they've separated religion from everyday running of the society. So there's no threat there...unless they change their constitution which is unlikely. Also, the ever growing strength of the executive branch of government is a more definite threat than religion.

Um, I'd go as far as to say some forms of Christianity which is being shown isn't really Christianity.... Its just religion, which is a different matter.

The way I saw it was that over time, people begin to simply trust what is told to them. This gets passed down through the generations with little explanation. As time moves on, people question the motives less and less until it's accepted without reasoning. Governments can use this to manipulate everything and claim it is "essential" when in fact they spend half the extra money on themselves and the other half on disguising this.
This can also be applied to religion. Even as far as Christianity is concerned, there is little evidence that any of the stories mentioned in the bible are true, and yet people are willing to believe them. However, this has been questioned a fair bit, albeit mainly in the practice of Christianity, and this has lead into the Roman Catholic denomination and eventually into the Protestant denominations.
I think the moral of the story is believe what you want to believe in, for as long as you know why you're believing in it.

You know what else scares me is that most teens nowadays are so unaware as to whats going on outside the little space that they occupy that once the previous generations die noone will care what goes on in the world.
