No because this is a completely different story its set before the series and its about the Case that Naomi worked on with L. She mentions the case in the series I think but if you like the series I'm sure you'll love this novel...its written by someone else but I think she captured L's persona perfectly.

Ah. Well I'm sure I'll have to look it up, since that will help with the gap in the Anime.. I mean, when L dies you think "Wow, Light won." Then they go on to give 2 more people after him, going to take L's place.. I thought that was a cheap way to keep the anime going, but I guess it ended well in the end. ^.^

The book is set before the series and it doesn't explain much about Wammy house but it does fill in a couple gaps...though it also has alot of series spoilers.

But if you watched the entire Anime series to begin with, then the spoilers can't be that bad. o.0 Can it?

Nah if you've already seen the anime or read the manga then you have nothing to worry about but if you haven't don't read this book until you do but I'm guessing you've already seen and/or read Death Note.

Yeah, I've seen it.. Haven't read the Manga though.. Sorry but I don't like Comics.. Books leave you the power of imagination.. Anime leaves you the pleasure of watching the characters in action... Manga is like... They show sort of what they look so they ruin your imagination, yet they don't have enough movement to show how they really react.. It's like they took the flaws of both things and combined them. >.>
Though I do have some other reading to do.. Such video games like "Starcraft" was turned into 3 books, as well as "Starcraft: Ghost" which was a game I never played but was focused on one of the cooler ranks/minions you could use in the game...
But I guess most Anime's are turned into Manga's.. Or most manga's get turned into Anime... >.>

Blah, maybe it's cause I just don't like reading that much? Unless it's a good book.. I've read quite a few, but I've put down hundreds cause I lose interest. XD

Some people don't like Manga personally I read them because I can't stand the voice actors that the dubbed versions pick...dang americans have to ruin perfectly good japanese ideas.

Lol, i do admit that many american voices ruin the character.. But like Final Fantasy Advent Children? Though the japanese was flawless, I kinda like the English better.. The voices differ more inbetween Kidaj (sp?) and his gang.. In Japanese, they all pretty much sound the same. =/ Not that there's anything wrong with that, I'm just saying the American dubs give them a bit more individualism, ya know?
But like Naruto's voice is annoying. >.> lol

Advent Children had some thought put into it I mean they got Gary Oldman and Christy Carlson Romano as voice actors which shows they worked hard to find the right voices for the characters but in alot of anime its just sloppy I mean when it comes to anything that centers around games they put some thought into the voice actors v_v and also into the translation(if the game comes from Japan or any other country that makes games).

True... Though I think Advent Children kinda went like, the Japanese said "Ok, we want this to be awesome, so WE chose american voices" XD
Inuyasha is a perfect example of your point though... I loved his Japanese voice WAY more than his english one. Especially when he yelled "Kagome" or, whatever "Windscar" is in Japanese. ^.^

Inuyasha got boring quickly (It was all filler) the manga was better because I could skip the unimportant filler but it still got annoying.
