Dead Island possible Easter Egg...?
I was just playing some Dead Island, loving it so far. And I was doing a mission where you had to place 5 crates in a certain spot, to finish the letter "P" in the world "HELP!" In the sand. (Reason- because everyone's scarred, and they send the lone woman out to do it...>.>)
Anyway.
I placed one down, after killing off all the zombies in the area, when I hear a screech, another Zombie was rushing at me. So, I smacked him in the head with a spiked bat...I look down, and he looks oddly familiar....
Hmm...He bares a slight resemblance to someone else I know...A certain smart-talking baseball fan from Boston...

I know, I know. They are differences. But, they are very slight.
Differences I notice, other than graphics, of course. ;D
1. he has no headset, but, why would he on Dead Island?
2.His socks don't go as high up.
3.No Glove Bandages.
4.His meagerness bag is on his left hip, not behind him, on his right.
4 pretty minor changes.
The similarities? Well, that shirt for one...Its pretty much an exact replica of the shirt Scout wears in Team Fortress 2. His pants. They may not be the exact same, but, they do end before reaching the bottom of his leg, folded up. I am not sure about the Scouts pants, but I think they are also folded, but on the inside, or something?
I dont know..He bares an awfully close resemblance..I googled the 2, and only found a video.

Which has nothing to do with it. And every other thing was a post about Dead Island, with someone of the user name "Scout" in it.
What do you think? Clever Easter egg? Or, strange coincidence?

"Procedural generation system"
Zombies are created by randomly choosing everything from a pool of choices.
In other words, if there's 5 different choices, in 5 different categories, the total number of combinations is 3125.
The same system was used in borderlands for it's weapons system, there are ' over 17,750,000 different variations of weapons'. A lot of games seem to be using it nowadays, I've actually seen a game that was ENTIRELY procedurally made. It was a 16K FPS, with decent quality textures, models etc.

i had seen this in at least 3 different forums someone asks if they deliberately put that model in regardless of the generators for other zombies
but i dont see an official easter egg list so yeah XD could just be a nice coincidence XD
they also have a challenge called over 9000 as a dbz refference
and all the car licenc plates spell out dead island in letters and numbers
apparently
i havent played it yet
i own it
but im still waiting for my xbox to come -.-

And yeah. Over 9,000 Achievement. They also have a 28 Days Later reference. (How Many Days Again? Or something like that..) And yes, the license plates spell "D3AD 1SL4ND" Mayve more numbers.
