dark shiva
has anyone got any tips...?
my players have completed sphere grid however i haven't gone over and increased spheres yet... (btw how do i do that again? i buy something from the monster arena don't i? just need to confirm that)
i have everyone's celestial weapons minus lulu...
help please

By completed sphere grid do you mean the entire sphere grid or just their portion of the sphere grid?
Increase spheres? Do you mean increase stats with the spheres? Cause to get a crap load of spheres you go to monster arena with a double or triple overdrive weapon that has Overdrive --> AP (I think it is) then you put your overdrive thing to Comrade (for when a teammate looses health) and fight the Don Tonberry or Cactuar King in the Arena. He pretty much K.O.s players in 1 hit so you get mad overdrive (AP) from it.
Here is something I grabbed quick off the net:

Overdrive to AP
Triple Overdrive

The easiest way to make this is to kill One-Eye, he drops weapons with Triple AP.
You'll need 10 Door to Tomorrows for Overdrive to AP. Bribe the Mech Leader enemy in the Gagazet mountains it should be around 74,000 gil for 2. You can Steal 20-30 From Ultima Weapon but thats a 1 time event. Also Unlocking 6 Arena Bosses will reward you with 99.
Finnaly you'll need 30 Winning Formulas for Triple Overdrive. Bribe the Sand Worm for 15 Winning Formulas for 900,000 gil. Or Capture 1 of every monster and the guy will give you 99.
But double of either stats is ok too.
Auto Phoenix is helpful but not required.
Auto Haste is also very helpful and will speed your AP Gain up, but not needed. |
Make sure you save before so you don't lose anything you might need if you die or whatever.

So the beginner grid? Has each player finished the ENTIRE grid? ie: Auron has learned all the black magics, Lulu all the armour breaks etc..
Coz of you have then you wont really need ap

im on expert grid thats all cool everyone has everything all abilities and well everything lol i just wanted to increase attack and all those things... so i got to get the sphere things then that will be fine

Best tip? If you wanna be a cheater (and i highly recommend it for the dark aeons) Just save, and pay Yojimbo through the arse. He will take care of all the dirty work if you pay him enough, you would have to check the exact amount online, but i dont think its more than a couple hundred thousand for some instant death action...
I could be wrong though, but that is how i did it the second time, after i learnt that you dont get anything for killing them the GOOD way
Oh, and total respect for maxing your grid dude, you have done what so many others have failed or given up on.

i recon i found anima harder than the sisters.. they have pretty weak attacks (in comparison) and they often waste time with healing exploits..

For Dark Shiva, Auto-haste, Auto-Protect and Auto-Phoenix help a lot. 255 strength, 9999 HP, 170 agility and 150 luck is ideal. Her normal attacks are rank 1 (takes up a third of a regular attack) and the strike does delay to your whole party. The easiest way to beat it is simply Attack Reels, blitz ace and quick hits. If Shiva is about to hit overdrive, summon and shield to protect it (ideally with Anima so you can follow up with Oblivion).
