Cool video that shows which console is the strongest
I really like the show X-Play, a game reviewing site that is very comical. There was an episode where Morgan Webb tested each of the next gen consoles (that being the Xbox, PS2, and the Gamecube) to see which console could take the most beating and live. You can view the video to see which console will survive!

Man Xplay used to be so funny and always show interesting things like this, they are really declining now and it makes me sad However I am not surprised since I am really amazed at how some shows can even last as long as they do and still be funny.

yah Adam kinda became a wuss when the show turned into X-play from Extended Play and Morgan joined.
also the jokes are aimed at what seems like the 14/15 year old audience.
the rest of the G4 shows arent much better. The Anime Unleashed is boring as they never play an anime that i like. and they got rid of THE ONLY SHOW THAT I WAS EVER AN AUDIENCE MEMBER FOR.
i was an audience member for "The Screen Savers" back when Morgan and Martin worked there.

Yeah I have no idea how that network is still on the air, I suppose just like M$ since there is no other gaming channel they can pretty much cancel all of the good shows and throw up ads and other garbage on their channel to make money since they have no competition. If you go to their boards about 99% of the viewers complain and ask for changes for years and they never change a thing.

G4 is owned by Comcast. so yah they are like Microsoft as in they dont need to pay themselves and can stay up as long as the parent company desires.

Really? Weird I have been watching the network since the very first day it launched and I didn't hear anything about that. I know that Tech TV merged with them but I never heard that Comcast owned them.

it was the reason that it was only on cable.. when they merged with Tech-TV (ok it was not a merger, it was a buyout) they got the ecquipemnt to host the show on Satelite. and they must have decided that the income from having more viewers outweighed the income from having it exclusively on cable.

You would think that Comcast would be mentioned every 2 seconds. You are right:
| Quote: |
| G4 - videogame tv - is the only 24/7 television network dedicated to all things videogames. G4 airs all-original programming that covers every aspect of the videogame culture. Shows feature breaking industry news, reviews, the hottest games, gear and technology, celebrity interviews, insider opinions and the underground trends that feed the videogame generation. Launched in April 2002, G4 is available in 52 million cable and satellite homes nationwide. The company is headquartered in Los Angeles and is owned by Comcast Corporation. |
Learn something new everyday. I hear all of that other stuff about G4 everyday, but they leave out the Comcast part. Well we can pretty much forget about it then, if a broadcast is owned by a company that are the only ones with the power to terminate you then we are microsofted I suppose that channel will remain sucking forever then.

Lol, I agree with all the other tests except for the last one.
They should have calculated the size difference before doing the drop. The gamecube should have been raised a bit higher.

Well if it were raised higher then it wouldn't be fair. The point of a test is to offer the same test to each person/object to see how the operate under the same circumstance. In school they do not make a test easier for one student and harder for the smarter student that sits behind him (unless he is not rich, jk heh) they keep everything the same and see how each thing reacts to the same restriction.

Exactly Fun. The last test was a disadvantage to the X-box if the Gamecube wasn't raised higher.
Since the X-box is heavier, it would naturally produce greater impact over that distance than a lighter object like the Gamecube unless the Gamecube was allowed to produce the same velocity as the X-box by adding additional weight to it to = that of the x-box's weight or raised the GC higher to allow it to make the same impact effect with the x-box's
The first 2 tests were fine because equal impact power is applied.

Yes and that is what the test proved, that is why it was a test. All of the tests were equal, all consoles were hit the same, pounded on the same, and dropped the same.
Tests do not change because something is at a disadvantage, a test proves why something is at a disadvantage. If in a real life accident an Xbox and GC fell the same distance and the Xbox broke, that wouldn't be unfair that would be due to how the Xbox was constructed which is heavier and would mean it's destruction.
That is what a test proves. In fact last night I watched a test on TV that proved that fat people can resist the code more then skinny people. They had a skinny and fat guy in the same room and after a certain time limit the skinny guy's body temperature was a lot lower then the fat guy's and he was shaking while the fat guy wasn't even bothered by the cold. So does that mean that the test should have been altered to put the skinny guy in a warmer room since he was at a disadvantage? What would that prove then?
A test is conducted to have the same test for each circumstance and to see how each test object reacts to the same circumstance. If the GC was raised higher then it would have been unfair...
