That's a strange thing to put it.
I believe it has to be based on the goals.
The Skinny/Fat type tests wanted to see the difference in temp caused in the body (so what should be the same/equal is the temp)
The console test wanted to see the durability of 3 consoles based on equal amount of punishment (so what should be the same/equal is the amount of damage received rather than the similarities between the tests themselves)
Anyways, that's just me.

The Xbox/GC type tests wanted to see the difference in damage caused by the same fall (so what should be the same/equal is the falling distance)
and they fell from an equal distance. Your logic escapes me sometimes... The test proved that since the Xbox is heavier, it would take more damage at the same distance because it is heavier. When have you ever known a test to show favoritism to one object because the tester can predict that one object wouldn't withstand something that the other test object can? That is what the test proves.
Regardless, let's say that the GC was dropped from a higher distance and broke. Then that would prove that the GC can survive a higher distance then the Xbox since it is lighter, which is the same result when dropping them at the same distance. Think about it man.
