Coming Out Day
You all know about the children who recently took their lives because of being harassed and bullied for being gay. I just can't wrap my mind around why people stand back and let people get treated like that. There's an article and I'll post it with this message about all of this. What's worse about all of this is that some of these children were only 11...think about that 11 year olds were bullied for being gay and noone said or did anything to stop it.
HOW * UP DOES THIS WORLD HAVE TO BE FOR THIS * TO BE CONSIDERED IGNORABLE! How bad is it that innocent children are treated like * for being who they are, for being happy to be different. I want to know...how the * can the followers of a man who preached peace and tolerance be so * cruel (I know not all Christians are like this but even one like this is too many) towards people that are different. It brings me to tears to know about this...to see the gravity of what it means to human.

I'm currently working with Garden State Equality on a PSA (public service announcement) that I can put on the channel my university broadcasts out of and we are focusing on bullying. We were at the rally in Rutgers on the 6th as well as the one on the 7th at Ridgewood, the hometown of the most recent Rutgers student that took his life.
Its so sad that this kind of thing has to happen before people do anything.
anyway, its not much but hopefully it hits someone when we put it on air. I guess thats all you can hope for these days.

Yeah...PRIDE here at my college is doing some PSAs...and hopefully we'll be able to get our vigil on ch. 7...its for Coming Out Day...but I think the president is planning a moment of silence for those kids and others who've suffered or been killed for being gay.
