Cid/s?
Has anyone noticed all the Cids? Don't you wonder what it could mean? FFVII, there's a Cid, FFVIII, Headmaster Cid, FFIX, Cid, FFX, Rikku's dad, Cid. Some of them have stuff in common, too. Like 10 and 7 sort of like ships. Mostly I think. I know I'm not the only one who's noticed. What do you guys think? Do you think there's a meaning to these Cids?

Trust me, you aren't the only one who has noticed. Cid, like the Chocobo, Cactuar, FF Fanfare, are running themes. The Cids are nothing more than a running gag.
Cid first appered in FFII, who gives the main party an airship. In FFIII, Cid returns with a similar duty. In FFIV, Cid is the inventor of the airship, and even joins the party at certain points. In FFV, Cid and his grandson Mid, help modify airships after the discover them. In FFVI, Cid, though in no connection with airships, he is the authourity in MagiTek. In FFVII, Cid, well, we all know what this Cid as about. Cid in FFVIII, although nothing to do with the Ragnarok, he has the first "air ship," Balamb GARDEN. The Cid in FFIX is the inverntor of the airship, and an ally to the main cast. The Cid in FFX owns the airship, and the Cid in FFXI, runs a store.
There you go. Like Biggs and Wedge, who are usually found somewhere in FF games, are actually part of Luke Skywalker's Rebel Force.

I thought so. He's in both Kingdom Hearts, also, I wonder why they named him Cid? Maybe it's an acronym, Coming In-every Darn-game.

Yeah well Cid was in just about every final fantasy (I cannot say which ones he wasn't in though) and same goes with Wedge and Biggs) Those three are just about always in every ff.
And as for Bahamut, i am not quite sure but it seems like he is in a few of them.

And that´s right, he always has something to do with invention, airships or so... Maybe he is some famous inventor?

i dont consider FFVIII a Cid trend though...cuz he's clueless when it comes to piloting it lol
and also in FFXII Cid(evil) knows how to control airships...although he kinda destroys it....dont worry its not a spoiler
