How can I know when a choco´s close to level up? I´ve spent a billion items on Valvalis but still level 2 like all the others

They level up once you feed them enough... But gosh, mine never level up from 2 to 3 <.<

I think you have to feed them only when they are hungry, or at least once a day. If you feed more than that you are just wasting greens. So it takes some time as well as everyday feedings.

Greenies, you just can feed them once a day, you'll need 2-3 days to lvl your chocobo ^^
