Can u help me with my comic
hey everyone, i'm making a comic that takes place in 18th century fudel japan, also known as the edo era(same time period Ruroini Kenshin takes place) and i was wandering if anyone wouldn't mind helping me by posting background(drawn not painted) and cool utfits for the good and bad guys in it.
Also does anyone think that Geeto Orimushu woulld be a ggod Japanese name for the main character?

wow, i dont think you are gonna get any helpful posts man. not because ppl dont wanna help but bc they arent into such topics and that history. let alone having drawings laying around that represent that time period. i wish you luck man.
but on a brighter note, doing things yourself is better in my opinion anyway, then you get what you want. lol

thanks, i'm gonna need it, but i have a feeling more ppl are into that period than u think, i just say that becasue ppl who like the show ruroini kenshin or samurai x, or the movie the last samurai would be into that period, but that is a thought not a truth

i love rurouni kenshin, and heh the name geeto orimushu sounds kinda funny, no offence though. and sorry cause im seriously not good at drawing backgrounds. but hey if you need a plot, just ask me. im kinda good at that area

the plot and storyline are the things i am best at, but i'll tell u the general info if u want to posst a sstory i can use, and u'll get teh credit for the story, geeto orimushu is a traveling samurai looking for one thing, a good challenge, he wants to fight one man in particular, Batousi Himmura, he is one of those quite mysterious types, he never smiles and he shows no emotion, and he doesn't care about anyone or anything but his goal

well all i have figured out is the first comic and a couple past that.
here's wher it starts geeto is walking along and he is attaack by revolutionist gauards to the nearby city who are accusing him of being a imperialist, he beats them(there where 2 swordsmen and two archers in the trees)
he gets to the nearby town and in the next scene, which takes place late in the day, he hears two guys talking about the attack on the gaurds and then the bartender gets suspicious bcause he sees geeto's sword and asks him why he is in town. Geeto tells him about his goal and a fight breaks out between a guy and a kid, the guy is trying to get money out of the kid. Geeto sees this and think the guy will be a challenge so he takes the guy one. The guy throws a huge kuni knife on a chain at him which geeto quickly jumps to dodge and when he is in the air the guy throws the other end of the chain at him which tears his hakuma. Before the guy can draw his chains back geeto throws two kuni knives at the ends if the chains that hit the middle of the chains and tightly fasten them in place. Scince the guy had the chain wrapped around him he is now entagled in his own chain. Geeto draws his sword and asks the guy if he has any lasts words. The guy asks who he is, geeto tells him and when he does the guy makes a smoke bomb go off which gave him enough time to get untangled and flee the bar. (there is more but let me rest for a minute)

(okay story time again)Right before geeto is about to leave the boys asks if he would stay with his family to protect them. Even though Geeto doesn't care much for the kid or his family he accepts the offer when the kid offers to pay him, because even though geeto doesn't care about money he knows he needs some to keep traveling. the kid leads him to there house and the kid is greeted with a punch to the head by his older brother for being so stupid enough to go to the bar and tell the guy off. The kid (whos name is takashi) introduces geeto to his mother. His mother explains that the man was a tax collector, sort of. She explains that the ruler of that town enforced an unfairly high new tax that just gave his best group of fighters(which the guy at the bar was a part of) more pay and that they are refusing to pay it after the father of a thier family was killed by them in the crossfire of a battle. In the next scene you see the guy reporting to his master (who is leader of the eliete group) about the fight. He orders his master nija, kota, to strike in the middle of the night and get the money. and to send a message to the family and the rest of the village by killing the youngest child, takashi. in the next scene you see takashi woken up up after by a sound outside. He looks out the window to see Geeto practicing by cuttting an apple off a tree and slashing as many times as posible before it hits the ground, soon after Geeto falls asleep and he is woken up by Takashi training with his sword. He wakes up and takes his sword back and when Takashi asks him to train him he says no and tells him that he wouldn't want to have him as a rolemodel becasue he's a coldbloded killer who ffels nothing, blablabla, stuff like that. and out of nowhere a nija throwing star lands at thier feetanf you see kota standing at the entrance............ to be continued

i thought u were doing it during the revolution which is samurai x isnt it?

I'm not so into Japanese like that so I don't know much about Edo except it was a period that people used to think that there were rabbit on the moon. I must say you should find a picture of old places of that times and adapt it as your style.
