Wow man, I feel so sad that you didn't play it when it first came out with the never seen before cutscenes, and how it introduced the huge swords. However the game is still awesome today, but it was unbelievable when it first came out. I was so happy since I thought all games would be as good as FFVII from now on, but I was wrong

Man, first time playin FF7... ouch
And, about the graphix thing, Im pretty sure the most important part of the game is the storyline, ya? I mean, even if it looks incredibly real, it would get boring if all you did was repeativly walked around for no appearent reason...
You woke up this morning and went out to kill something!
You found the dungeon!
:you've found the key!
You opened the door!
You killed the Boss!
You found the dungeon!
you found the key!
you opened the door!
You killed the boss!
(repeats several more times)
You found the whatever, go kill the final boss!
You killed the final boss!
You go home!
Your life changes in absolutly no way once so ever!
See what I mean could have awesome graphix, but would be so broing.
