Not only have I completed the game without using the sphere grid, I've beaten all the monster arena creations except Shinryu (close to impossible) and Nemesis, and also beaten Dark Valefor, Dark Ifrit, Dark Ixion (both forms), Dark Shiva, Dark Bahamut, and can easily beat Dark Yojimbo (im keeping him alive to farm Dark Matters). All without using the sphere grid or zanmato.
Sorry for double-post, but I was wondering if anyone who was trying NSG here beat it (or if they're still trying). I've got 3 complete armours, one more to go before I can beat the Dark Magus Sisters.
ok it is impossible to beat the game without using the sphere grid trust me i tried unless the person cheated there is no way to beat the game
It's nowhere near impossible. In fact, a basic No Sphere Grid is considered a beginner's challenge. There are just that many ways around the tougher bosses. Only Braska's Final Aeon poses any real threat in the storyline.
