Bricking your PSP?
Has anyone heard of PSP's bricking when upgrading?
My friend had it happen to his PSP last week, and man did I feel bad for him.
If your don't know what a brick is it's pretty simple, it's just a broken PSP that does nothing but turn the power on. So basically it's just as valuable as a brick.

probably the worst of it is.. a majority of the patches sony puts put for the PSP have absolutely no advantages to them, they just include new ways to prevent you from hacking the device.
occasionally they will couple it with a new feature, but generally its just to protect the sales of games by making it harder to play downloaded games on your PSP.
that right, by sony trying to prevent your friend from pirating PSP games, they have actually bricked his PSP in doing so.

Well actually he wasn't doing that.
He was updating to a new version and he unplugged his power cord...and well...he turned it back on and it didn't work lol.

My psp still works fine ^^ lol.
I'm not going to try anything unofficial to enhance it either, I don't really need a paperweight.
Edit: and lol. I guess that's why they tell you to make sure your battery is full when updating.

I use a custom firmware on mine. It's almost fool proof as long as you follow the instructions.
