Yeah after about 10 games you just can't lose, it slightly took away the fun I thought. Although the Al Bhed had a really good goalie.

Then it wouldn't be fun as the only challenge will be gone. It's kinda fun trying to get passed that troublesome goalie. To start with the Ronso guys were kicking me ass but later I always win. Jecht Shot andJecht Shot 2 made it too easy. Also Letty or whatever his name was had inhuman passing abillity you could use Wither Pass and take out half the enemy team.

every1 of my players is lvl 99 but i have the best in ffx because i have the guide which tells me which players are the best and for what potition hehe ^^ i use jetch shot 2 from my goal and i easily score ^^ kinda boring because u win so easily rofl

haven't played in a while but my team was militant  jecht shot 2 and the best goalie in the game had brother supporting tidus a ronso in midfield lol

I just started another FFX game and blitzball is where it is at! I won the 1st tournament with the following team.
Tidus - LF
Wedge - RF
Letty - MF
Botta - LD
Ropp - RD
Keepa - G
Wedge started with 17 shot and I think he also hadWither Shot and Venom shot off the bat (He starts at lvl 1 so no slots until lvl up)
Tidus and him raep! I can score on the lesser goalies from about half and I usually do not use Jecht Shot, Sphere shot after I break 2 defenders!
The Al Behd goalie with Super Goalie Technique is killer when you are low lvl. My Team's average level is about 15 right now and last tournament Tidus and Wedge scored 23 points (that's without trying to score each game to max!) If 2 of your players are top scorer you get 2 prizes!
Funny thing is I think I put more time into playing Blitz than I have into the story (of the 2nd play through)! I'm only at Operation Mihen! I only battle to get money to sign contracts! lol

I loaded an old save of mine, I think it's where I have to fight Sin for the first time, but all I am doing is play Blitzball. I am using the following team and it's the best I managed to form so far.
LF - Tidus
RF - Wakka
MF - Lakkam (Al Bhed)
LD - Judda (Al Bhed)
RD - Jassu
GL - Keepa
I also have Abus and Zazi Guado, but they are not very good now that they are on my team.
Jecht Shot wastes time. It takes about 30 seconds 
But it's good at low levels when the players are too weak to break more than one defender. I prefer Sphere shot since my players can break more than two defenders at this point.

The best goalie is some chick... I can't remember her name... I had my buddy look it up in the guide so that's who I had on my team as my goalie.
