weeelll it depends on which version of bittorrent u use Haine uses an older version but you can download more then one thingat once but basically you install bittorrent in ur computer and site that uses bittorrent links type stuff all u have to do is click on the link of the file u want on the site and presto your file begins to download. The file will automatically be where you saved it so its not as confusing as mIRC. and after you've installed bittorrent you don't even need to open the thing to start whatever that you want to download annything else?
oh btw, when ur downloading something you might not be able to download older files since there's probably no body seeding it and soooo you should check if anyones seeding it if no one is seeding the file then you wont be able to download
i have another question...i try to download torrents right..then a screen pop up...saying invalid menu handle..what the???....i really dont know how to use this bittorrent..
They work on the concept of sharing bandwidth.
when you start a download your torrent starts asking other people who are downloading for parts of that same file.
if you have nothing downloaded so far you are just getting scraps from others (depending on their Torrent client) usually when you are asking to download from somone your computer offers some information it has already downloaded in exchange.
your client continues to make these exchanges until it has the whole file downloaded.
Now, when downloading you are known as a "Leecher" as in you are searching and trying to complete your download. when you finally finish your download you become a "Seeder" which means that you offer your file for upload to everyone.
ok thats as basic as i can describe it... now for the choice of clients:
Azureus
This BTorret client is the fastest of them all.. unfortunately its a resource hog and will make your games and other applications run slow if you use it while doing anything else.
BitTornado
This is a good one and is almost as fast as Azureus. plus it uses less resources.. i plan to switch to this one after my current downloads on Azureus finish. mainly because i was downloading a 35gb file and azerus used 500mb for it... oye.
So if you Have 1.5gb of ram go with azerus. if you have anything less go with BitTornado.
speaking of there should be a forum devoted to technical problems... this is of course when the community grows and the need for tech support is higher.
