I´m thinking about these two famous people that always appeared from FFVI onwards... At least til FFIX 
Why they are always related to the military?
In FFVI, they were soldiers from the Empire that went to Narshe with Terra on their Magiteks...
In FFVII, they were two Avalanche Members...
In FFVIII, they were those two funny Galbadia Soldiers...
And in FFIX, they were two of Steiner´s soldiers...

Bahamut wasn´t created by Square, the same with Leviathan... They´re the Dragon King and the King of the Seas...
But I´m not sure how Leviathan and Poseidon share their throne

Btw, don't forget Chocobos! They're also from FFII onwards.
Cid is mentioned in the remakes of FFI, but not in the original. Well, that's what I hear.
