i voted cloud and squall ^-^ cos the second pic was awesome XD that's how it'd be if they fought together: all seriousness in battle and then they'd argue about who looked cooler or things like that...at least that's what the pic showed XD but i think they'd just work fine together, no fights among the group ^^ think about it, two calculating guys together wouldn't fight because of that XD

I think Squall and Seifer would make a good fighting partners because of their permanent rivalry. During the entire game I felt they were friends and enemies at the same time. I don't think it would be the best thing to have two identical individuals fighting side by side like Cloud and Squall, their personalities shares a lot of similarity and overall they share a lot of common qualities which is why people are always arguing on who is the best. As for the rest... I won't even comment. So my vote goes for Seifer.
As for the GFs; for no apparent reason I always used Shiva as Squall's main GF, maybe because I found the two of them to be "cold".
And their picture looks great

I don't know. Cloud stopped being depressed at the end of AC. Squall got Rinoa. I'd stop being depressed if I got Rinoa. But then that's just me...

cloud will always be a loner, squall..well, he's weird but i didn't say depressed, he just...worries too much
sooner or later squall'll get wrinkles and rinoa will leave him ^-^ then, he'll continue worrying too much...and end up teaming with cloud...and that's how you get two angsty boys fighting to save the world XD

I was about to say there's Tidus, but then I remembered Tidus wasn't really angsty. He was just annoying.
