Battle Of The Stars
Which is better Star Wars ir Star Trek.
I vote for Star Wars because of light sabers and the crazy techniques George Lucas founded.

The majority will vote for Star Wars since it is more of a mindless action * that is still around today (no offense but that is what they call these types of movies) Star Trek is more of a realistic experience about how the future will be like and if humans coincided with aliens. The only good Star Trek episodes was The Next Generation though, the ones after it totally sucked hardcore. I was a fan of the original Star Wars movies, the new ones do not really grab my attention.

Yeah I was sort of forced to watch it. My best friend who I used to hang out with almost everyday back when I was 12 years old would watch every episode. I would tell him to change the channel when it came on heh, but then I really got into it and I can honestly say it is the best franchise ever. However since the world doesn't appreciate peace and imagination it will never be very popular compared to the other shoot and kill war type movies. Which are fine I like a lot of movies like that, but it is nice to take a break from that genre every once and a while. I bought all seven seasons of Star Trek TNG on DVD and love watching still today.

How to choose.so hard. Star Wars is such a HUGE part of my childhood. I still get shivers at points in episode s 4 and 5. Star Trek the NExt Generation just totally rocked. I have never had my head screwed with on a more consistent basis by a tv show. However my current favourite "star" is Battlestar Galatica on Sci-Fi Chanel.

Both for me. Star Trek has got better actors I think, whereas Star Wars has more special effects.

I Like Star-Trek much better, mostly because im more lenient towards a good background plot, and also im more of a science guy, and the things they show in ST are more of what the scientists today are planing to achieve, although there are some points like that in SW. ST still has a better plot.

There both pretty good in their respective fields. For special effects-ridden action movies, Star Wars set the standard.
Star Trek on the other hand has much more layers of storytelling and more involved acting. Especially TNG, as far as I'm concerned.

i was about to shoot mabus for the first time in my life, and after reading fuey i was doubting shooting him too for my first time ever =S
how can you really call SW mindless?
beam me kirk, Babilon was way better, FCOL, the chars in ST sickened me.
*first shoots down any ST related poll options so its only posible to vote for SW*
*then remembers Babilon and adds a Babilon opt*
ps: BABILON KICKED HAS!
ps2: cant tell the diference between kirk and a borg outside/inside the stage =P
ps3: NO ONE WATCHES STARGATE? (SG says: yhea sure forgive me for not being so long ¬¬)
PS4: next fall (has in ps4 get it? lol)
i like the second coment on ST but i think it has nothing to do with it, very bad actors characters and lines i mean come on. the coment reminded me of K-PAX too. maybe the main idea was good but it became a bit too hideous/scary for my taste

lol, I never noticed this. I vote Star Wars. But my favourite sci fi 'show' was sliders. I like the new Battlestar Gallactica too.
ast night at work something freaky happened. Just after we locked up, I puled across this security gate (cross linked metal bars thing)> The problem with the gate is that it sits infront of the sliding door sensor, so the doors won't shut by themselves. Anyway after the doors keep opening and closing by themselves I walked over to it, waved my hand like a jedi and said "You doors will close"
...They closed
lol, I'm not kidding it was just hillarious the way it happened. Maybe the force is strong in me?
