Baten Kaitos: eternal wings and the lost ocean

Ok. I found thid game out cheap so I bought it on impulse...

anyway, Playing this rpg has made me realise how good final Fantasy X and X-2 really are.
Let me start off with the first difference I noticed...the voice acting. Now some of you here say the voice acting in X was pretty bad. Well then I suggest you stay away from Baten Kaitos, lol. This game made me appreciate how GOOD the voice acting was in FFX, not only that but the game script too, Baten Kaitos features a really cheesy script.

Also, BK is really for hardcore rpg gamers. It's taken me a long time to figure out what all this thing about 'Magnus cards' are. But I do kinda like the idea of collecting different cards even though it feels like I'm playing Yu-gi-oh, lol.

Has anyone else played this game?

lol. The wings are...pretty.
Another thing that kind of annoyed me early on is that simple objectives are too obvious. Rather than letting you figure out what to do, the game pretty much tells you what to do. This can be compared to, say, in Pokemon red you had to give the guards a drink to get to Safron (spelling) city. In this game you have to get fire to burn a log etc but the main character says "hmm, maybe some fire will burn this log, I know there was a fire place back in the mayors house!" It makes it too easy.

My country lay within a vast desert. When the sun rose into the sky, a burning wind punished my lands, searing the world. And when the moon climbed into the dark of night, a frigid gale pierced our homes. No matter when it came, the wind carried the same thing. Death. But the winds that blew across the green fields of Hyrule brought something other than suffering and ruin. I coveted that wind, I suppose." ~ Ganondorf.
