Basic Storyline of FF Games
I want to see what the most popular BASIC STORYLINE is for FF games. This means NO SIDEQUESTS, NO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT, NO GRAPHICS, and NO GAMEPLAY. All I want are the BASICS of each Final Fantasy games, and seeing which basic concept for a story is the most interesting.
For example, FF1 is a story about four people fighting an evil which is trying to destroy the world so it can live forever. Period.
Now start posting and voting...and maybe asking WTF I'm talking about.

well..i think it must be ff vii's cause they made a movie about it xD..but i like ff 8's story cause is great! xD...i still dont get ff 9's story i dont know what the game is about! but i like it! xDD so i vote for ff 8 cause i dont like too much ff 7 or ff 7's storyline =P

Definitely VII, mostly the first CD. The struggle between the Slums and Midgar, the Turks, and everything until Sephiroth´s arrival was just awesome. It really got me playing a lot 
The rest of the game is good, but I prefer the start.

I thought it was clear enough... The low/high classes difference, the politics, the secret service (Turks) and the "terrorists" (Avalanche)... It is a story I like very much. But mostly that part of the game.

It´s cool... Some ugly queen hungry for power, uses some kind of magical minions to dominate the continent... And something else 
But, behind all this... There´s a man, that provides Queen Brahne the weapons in order to do this... His name is Kuja, but it´s clear, that he isn´t interested in Brahne at all, as he calls her an "ugly cow" in Treno, while she isn´t there...
Meanwhile, in Lindblum, Cid prepares a counter-attack in order to get rid of Kuja...

I enjoyed VII the most in terms of storyline. It had the most interesting factions and struggles. It was good enough to make into a movie even if it was just for the fans pretty much.
