Banned for being too good :(

Wow, I had one of my best games ever in Counterstrike Source. These guys were good, but I was using stradegy and patience and just dominated. Here is a screenshot, but I had up to 75 kills until the admin banned me Sad

That sucked since my teammates were cheering me on then suddenly I was banned. I don't blame him though I was in the zone and couldn't miss Razz

I guess, I was just doing really good then suddenly I was banned. I know in CSS when people do good they get accused of cheating a lot.

it sucks when it happens.

i remember a match in halo where i got 23 kills out of 25 kills. it was a 4v4 game too. i was all matrix style.

i think their team got 2 or 3 kills.

my team was like "Its over already? i dident even SEE any of em!"

one game some bastards cheated and got behind the map before anyone joined. then they opened the game and invited a ton of people. i joined, noticed them all. grabbed the sniper and killed them all. i killed the host last and he got so pissed that i killed them all so easily that he banned me.

in UT2k4 i got banned a ton of times for getting lucky and noscoping people with the sniper.
hell one guy was possibly the best UT player i have ever seen (he could kill you with a spoon!! frankly i think he was the best player of all time)

annny way, he raped everyone in the game until i grabbed a sniper and started headshoting him noscope.

he was stunned. he later messeged me in Xfire saying that i was one of the first people to actually kill him 3 times in a row in a LONG time.

To be honest I never really look at the player names because either they always change, or you never see the person again so I do not bother trying to memorize anyone's names so I wouldn't know. There was a time long ago where people said I was the best player in Quake 3, and that was because I played all day long and my goal was to practice and never lose so I could compete at Quakecon and win $50,000 Razz However the motivation died a long time ago so now I just play for fun, but it was nice to have fans back in the day.

i never got the whole "Game for money" idea, i personally game for fun, not for profit or to be the best.

ive tried doing a few tournaments, i just get so nervious my preformance just drops into the *.

i guess thats why im a CTF man, its team oriented, and i work well as a team, rather than a solo guy. so that hopefuly if i have a weakness, an allie can cover that weakness for me.

Well I only considered it since I would always win and everyone said I should go to quakecon since I could win there so that is what made me try even harder Smile I am sure if the roles were reversed and had the chance to win $50,000 you would have considered it as well.

you know it! $50k is a TON of cash.

you could buy 10 of the best comptuers available. (mmmn, 4 videocards+4 processors,+4gb of ram. *drools*)
or food if that is your nessisity.

you should still try for it though. at least you will have a story to tell your grandkids when Video Games are beamed into your skull about how you went to a LAN party where thousands of overweight nerds cram themselves into one building and all of them turn on these massive computers just to play one game. (ok im sure they play other games than Quake at quakecon.)

i was in a tournament with that guy that i mentioned above (the one who rocked my world, and the only way i killed him was with a lucky shot with the sniper) and i was thinking i would puss out and quit at the last second. but if i had i wouldent have been able to witness the total pwnage of myself to this god of Unreal Tournament.

ever kill a god? man it feels good, even though i only got 3 kills (in a row too!) it was an achievement for me. so i guess sometimes to see the gods you need to lie face down in the mud. *bad metaphor* the funny thing is that he was fighting in the final deathmatch for the tournament of Unreal Tournament. and he LOST! i watched two gods colide and a battle of unspeakable destruction. they projected each players screen up onto the projectors on the wall. and i could see each of them play. and they played like the gods they were.

anyway, it sounds like you were a god of quake. and i would have wanted to watch that battle of you fighting another god of quake for a large stakes prize.

Haha nah I suck at Quake now, to be honest I think it was the hardware since my mouse had the perfect sensitivity. Now no matter how much I tweak it is never the way I want it, then I start overtweaking it where I change the sensitivity 4 times per game so I just said forget it Razz Plus the motivation is no longer there and that is the key.

I disagree with Thorlord, i do not think it is like riding a bike. Riding a bike takes a lot more work to accomplish and there is always the fear factor (falling off) that is in the far recesses of the mind cause everyone has fallen off. You do get a little worse when you come back to a game, but as ce'nedra said you also get better cause, well i speak for myself here, you look at what you were doing that was not the best for your gameplay and stop doing it. If that makes any sense.
