Australian rock/punk bands

K well so far all the Australian bands I listened to are amazing, and I love them.

but I was wondering if anyone knows of any other amazing australia bands so I can see if Australia is full nothing but awesomeness.... I know england is but I wonder if Australia is...?

I think for the most info on bands you're looking for, go to http://www.abc.net.au/triplej/

Bit I live in Australia and punk is not exactly big here. So while there might be some I honestly cant think of any. But there's a lot of different people and cultures here so I'm not surprised if there are a few punk bands. The most common type of band here is pub rock (80's style rock). But 99% of mainstream audience like dance/trance, its a party culture here lol

Punk just isn't the lifestyle here since the only real protest songs are done by, for a lack of better terminology, hipsters. Which there are a lot of, and they all play acoustic. Or lame rock lol
That genre of music is annoying, I mean one of my favourite bands as a kid, Silverchair, used to play this
