Attacked!
have not long got back from A&E this morning after, while walking with friends to the car back from a nice night out, a pair of random scum hit 1 of us from behind and floored him, causing him to need stictches in his chin and hit another of my best friends (who is on here too), cracking 2 of his front teeth.
not realising this was a attck i ran round car thinking 1 of my pals had simply taken a bad stumble or something, only to be greeted with a hit to the face and subsequently a head butt which has moved my nose ever so slightly more off centre than it was (i do boxing); the scuffle ended quickly and we got to police and then the hospital. what annoys me most (apart from the fact it happened) is that i wasnt able to get one clean brutal shot in, such is the downfall of both being overdrunk and being sneak attacked into confusion.
anyone have any stories of pathetic, cowardly attacks?

Once while leaving my gf apartment (its kind of on the border of a bad neighborhood) and i was walking to my car which i park on the street (no parking permit for her apt) and a guy comes behind me as im unlocking my door and says give me your wallet. i turn around slowly and hes got a little pocket knife. well i just so happen to have a hunting knife (a good 5 inches long compaired to his 1 inch pocket knife lol) on me and i show him the knife and said, you dont wanna do this. go home.
he was pretty pissed off but he just walked away. i also only had like $5 of cash on me lol.
so i always carry some kind of knife with me these days. they are handy ^^

and there's guys saying "size doesn't matter" XD big nonsense...

cause if you did, next time you might be able to give them a piece of their own medicine...
ehmm, i've gotten in several fights before, none which i ever started, but i gues the one closest to the ones you've been telling happened in spain, when my mom and i were in the car, we had to get gas, cause we were running out, and i went out to stretch my legs, and when my mom went to pay i noticed this guy walking around our car realy suspisously, so i went back and got into the car, after my mom paid, the guy i noticed suddenly tried taking my mom's wallet, i was 14 at the time, but i opened the door of the car, ran out and jumped on the guy's back, on which he got scared and ran away, and i ran after them, but when he got in the car which his friend was in i gave up and they got away...
people suck these days don't they?

they honestly do U.U well i have never had these kind of experiences, but i know this guy, he's a very close friend. he was walking on his way back to school with another boy and suddenly two drunk guys walked to them and told them to give them their money or whatever they had on them. my friend does boxing too, but he said he didn't do anything because the second guy (quiet one) had one hand in his pocket, and he feared he had some sort of knife or something, since they had the other boy up agains the wall. my friend saw a cr driving by and he asked the lady driving for help, scare them with the horn or something, but she just said she was busy and drove away. they drunk guys took their wallets and watches...i remember my friend being so upset, he was crying so hard because he couldn't do anything to help this other boy...nothing serious happened, they were just scared and just a minnor slit on the other boy's lip...
they couldn't find these guys...what upsets me most is this lady...i mean, couldn't she have helped them? she could've scared the drunk boys with the car somewhow! but no, she was too busy U.U sometimes i wonder how human we really are, i mean, we can't even help each other...
...personally i think i'd be helpless if i ever had to face this situation...i don't know self defense or karate or anything...i'm just a hula dancer 0.o

some most people just dont want to get involved.
also, doing anything with a car other than honking a horn can get a little crazy. car vs drunk dudes = trouble.
but really... if they were drunk, one good kick to a knee would have put them down. and after that you could just take off.
lucky for me i never have a watch on or anything and i dont keepy money in my wallet. however i usually have my ipod, and if anyone tried any funny business, well id do what i had to assuming the person didnt have a gun.
most people with a knife or whatever wont ever use it. stabbing someone is a pretty personal thing and in my opinion way harder than shooting someone.i always keep my knife clipped on the outside of my belt/pocket so the whole word can see. it tends to make stupid people think twice.

i never carry any weapons, i feel weapons are for the weak, and i usually carry my money in my wallet, i trust my backpocket more as a bank XD
but yeah, most people are indeed too scared to get involved, when you're beeing raped it's better to shout "fire" as everyone will look instead of "rape" because people will avoid it...
i think even the police would be too scared to run after a pickpocket or something like that, cause they can't be bothered to take the risk these days...

well, yeah, but its mainly for intimidation purposes. ive never had to use it to defend myself so its just good to have. it does have a practical use when i have to work and open a ridiculous amount of packages.

YA but studies have shown that if you are untrained with a weapon its more likely to be used against u then to help u. i got jump by this aSs at school we where enemys so he got 3 guys to held me down while he kicked me. after they where done i got up and hit the 3 guys in the back of the head as they ran and jumped the aSs and got a few good hits before some adults brooke it up we where in grade 5

yeah thats true. but this goes for the attacker as well. id be willing to bet they are using a knife in much the same why i am, intimidation. i mean, if you are trying to rob people, i really doubt you have any kind of self defence training aside from watching jackie chan movies.
but its always different so yeah. talking out of my @$$ here.

Ahh but most not all do this kinda thing all the time so though they have no official training they still us it more then you do. just like fight i have training but i have not used in it for about 5 years so they would most likely win in a fight b/c they fight more often

you know, sometimes, even if you train, that doesn't help you at all...take this as an example: five guys jump you, they all have some kind of weapon and all you have are your fists and legs since you've been in tae kwon do since you were 10...still you think you stand a chance? i think i'd give all my money and stuff rather than fight them, even if i were a boy...sometimes yeah, they use the weapons just to intimidate you...but how do you know that? they might be firstimers at that, but what if they have been doing this since BEFORE YOU WERE BORN?...that would hold me back if i were that good of a fighter ^^; i don't think any of us would risk his/her @$$ just because you think you're good enough to beat 5 guys...

exactly - i was confronted by a group of 6 chavs (for those of you who dont know - just scum who clutter the streets all looking the same) who wanted my wallet...i could have tried to fight them, no sign of any weapons, and iv been doing boxing for 10 years - but im no fool either, why risk getting seriously hurt....i just ran the hell out of there.
