Arena
How far would you go to avenge those you love? How far would you go to right all the wrongs people have done to you in the past? How far would yo go to bring justice to those it missed, those who have torn your life apart?
Would you kill for it? Would you sell your soul for it?
Many would, and that's what attracted the interest of Reaze Forlot, a man with no known background. Many claim that in their darkest hour, when their soul was consumed with hate and thoughts of vengence, Reaze crept from the shadows with a deal. He would give them the chance to avenge their loved ones... At a price, of course. He only offered this deal to one person a month, and not just any random person. To choose from the thousands of vengeful souls, all takers of the deal would sign a death waver and enter an arena on Reaze's private property. After a long tourament, the winner would be able to avenge the one who did them wrong.
This RP is basically about a tournament of people done wrong to decide who will avenge their losses. But, to move on, your opponent has to die, no exceptions. How many people does one have to kill for justice to come? Btw, I'm thinking of a way to make the tounament, so if you have any ideas, please, provide them. Currently, I'm thinking of a survival-type tournament, where the contestants are let loose in a large, forest-like arena, and so as to not agitate the RPers, the participants that die are going to be NPCs. Also, to add to the plot, I'm thinking that the players, after killing senselessly to win, try to escape the tounament and bring the senseless destruction to an end.
Here's a basic character template i made as I went-
Name-(name of character, first and last please)
Personal info-(age, appearance, personality, etc)
Reason for entering the tournament-
Background-(character's history and such. Be nice if you included the tragedy as well)
Extra Info-(anything else you want to add for any reason that isn't listed above)
I'll post my character when someone else joins; don't want to get excited in case this doesn't fly. Also, if you have any questions, as I was fairly vague here, just post 'em here and I'll get to them asap.

This will take place in modern times, but in a mystical setting, so I will allow magical powers, but not too fantastic, nor powerful. And as far as weapons, each participant in the arena recieves a combat knife, a standard 9mm handgun, two clips, and a laser sight. However, perhaps more... entertaining weapons may be found in the arena...(though no Uzis or AK-47s, maybe a sword or something more interesting and fun, to make the sport more enjoyable to watch.)

Name- Ricky J. Miller
Personal info- age: 17 sex: Male
appearance: Wears an unbuttoned dress shirt over a white T-shirt with a brown collar on it, faded blue jeans and some dirty Air Monarchy Nikes. Brown hair, eyes change color, but most of the time they are brown or green (Not magical, actual condition based on chemicals etc. in eyes) wearing glasses, slightly overweight, normal, non-tanned, non-pale white skin pigmentation, strangly feminine lips and facial structure. Fingernails are unclipped and appear neatly manicured. Doesn't appear very muscular except in legs. Acne problem on the face and on arms, particularly left arm.
Reason for entering the tournament- Ridiculed for wanting to change sex from male to female and told that it was wrong to even want to become the opposite sex. Seeks vengence on all people who have ever descriminated against transgendered people.
Background- Born in Tupelo Mississippi, Ricky had a normal life, or so it seemed. Even as a child he knew he had a psycological need to be a girl, but he knew from watching Maury and other shows that that would be very descriminated against. At the age of 12 he learned about the transgendered people, learning that he wasn't gay as he thought he was, but a transgendered person, knowing that gave him hope believing that there was nothing against it in the Bible he told a Pastor five years later who agreed. Excited and filled with confidence, Ricky told his Mother who after three times of being told finally took it seriously and said that she believed it was the devil within him. Knowing better Ricky became a bit rebellious and told a few friends, but all three of them criticized them and one of them even went so far as to get their brother to throw a rock at him. Sad, angry, and confused, Ricky went into a bout of depression. But he met someone like him, a girl who was a boy in her mind, and they liked one another, until one day the girl had the daring to act against the gender expected roles and told the truth, she was beaten to death. Vengence filled this 17 year old and he took the challenge to avenge not only the girl nay, the young man he had met, but all transgendered people.
Extra Info- Being a smart teenager Ricky has some psycic abilities, limited telekenisis. That combined with his innovative mind may more than make up for his lack of physical strength.

Nice character. Might as well post mine now...
Name: Gatre Godin
Personal info- Age: 24, Height: 5'8", Weight: 167lbs
Dark blonde hair, black jacket over dark green tee-shirt, black pants, wallet chain on his left side. Dark blue eyes hiding under medium length black hair. Emotionless expression almost always covers his face.
Reason for entering the tournament- Girlfriend was killed by a gunman escaping the police in a mall three years ago. The man was never found, as he escaped through the large crowd escaping his crazed killing. Seeks revenge against this fiend. Reaze somehow heard about his loss and personally visited his home to acquire this combatant.
Background- Nothing special. Your basic everyday kid. Oh, and he died by falling from his home roof when he was ten for about 9 minutes. But that's nothing big.
Extra Info-His death brought a new perspective to his mind, allowing him to see the souls of people vaguely. If he concentrates hard enough, he can tell if one is lying or if they are good or evil, but not much more.
Not the best character, but oh well. I'll develop him more as the story goes on. I'll start the roleplay tommorrow, as I'm at a friend's right now.

(i think for this i might actually be myself,with a made up story and a few twists of course)
Name:Alex Wilson
Personal Info, Age:15, Height 5'11"
Appearence:Blue/Black Hair, slightly tanned skin, wears baggy black jeans and a black nirvana hoodie with chains and wrist bands. quite large build with muscular legs and arms and a small acne breakout on face.
Reason for joining Tournament:Was humiliated infront of his friends one day by a random person who came up and beat him down with no warning and then peed on him. Alex was left in intensive care for a week afterwards and now is taunted by his friends and the person everyday(not big in and of itself but it matters to a 15-year-old)he became self loathing and depressed for a while until he saw Reaze on the street and Reaze took an interest in him and his story, reluctant at first to let a seemingly regular problem enter his arena Reaze saw something different in Alex and decided to let him participate
Background:A normal Goth Kid, can be slightly excentric at times but is generally mild manered and calm, is quite intelligent and has average strength despite his large form
Extra Info:Has nimble fingers thanks to his guitar playing and fights well with melee weapons(swords etc.) because of his obsession with those weapons

OOC[Alright, guess I'll start it now. I roleplay in the old style(the long paragraph form) as I like it more, but you can use whatever you want.]
'...You want revenge? Then come with me...'
Those words haunt Gatre to this day. The coldness of them, the heartlessness; tey had scared him since he heard them. He said his name was Reaze, and that he could help bring justice to those who killed his first and only love. He and Jessica had been going steady for a little over five years, and Gatre was just about to propose to her before a wild gunman had shot her down in the mall a few blocks from their house. Since then, the madman was all he could think about.
It seemed as though the sun never peaked its face here, on Reaze's estate, as a permanent twilight covered the grounds. The wind barely crossed passed the walls, and the stagnant air choked Gatre daily. This place seemed to suit his mood.
'I will help you kill this madman who took your life away, but only if you do as I say...'
A tounament for the vengeful, that was the price. As Gatre looked around, he saw others who had also come here to enter. For Gatre to get revenge, he has to kill them all.
Gatre looked up the wall surrounding the area, which was meant so that no one could escape the fighting, and trained his eyes on Reaze, who stared down at the contestants, the same emotionless face hiding his true feelings. Today was the day the tournament was going to begin.

Ricky was anxious. He thought this was going to be a breeze. These muscle-heads look like they may be outsmarted by a rock. Sure, there was that guy who was looking at Reaze, he didn't look like a grade A dummy but he didn't look like he was the smartest person in the world either. Seemed average. The crowd of others kinda made it so that there were only a few that stood out. Ricky knew this tournament wouldn't make him become a girl, but he could make others like him be free to act and be who they wish without discrimination. Luckily, he had not yet started his acting and dressing as a girl, otherwise some of these lugs would no doubt have killed him on the spot before the tournament and its protective one on one system. Sure his telekenisis could probably keep them from hurting him too bad, but he needed all his energy for the tournament. Not being a violent type, though, Ricky quickly decided to try and get all the fighting out of his mind with a little chat with someone. He walked up to the person talking to Reaze. "Hi, my name is Ricky.",Ricky said as he held out his hand to be shaked.

Alex stood in the crowd contemplating how he was to go about this. He noticed that most of the contestants were very similar they almost made a dull background with only a few standing out, mainly though he noticed a slightly feminine looking person walk up to reaze and begin talking with the person who was already there. (i must keep my eye on that one) he thought.(oh well,might as well let my music kill the time until the first round) and with that he placed his earphones in his ears and sat down against a wall

"Hi, my name is Ricky."
Gatre looked at the man who had walked up to him, startled a bit at first, but didn't show it. He took the hand the stranger was holding out as a mere formality, knowing that no matter who this man was, he was still his enemy.
"My name's Gatre. I guess you've been dragged into this as well?" Gatre looked at Ricky then at Reaze, "I wonder why he does this... Does he enjoy the killing?"
Gatre looked back down and noticed something over Ricky's shoulder- a man had been watching them for a moment or two before switching on some music and sitting against the wall. It seemed that a few of the contestants were actually smart enough to examine their opponents, while the others basically practiced for the event, not taking the time to observe the playing field.
"Why are you here, Rick?" Gatre lowered his hand, "It is okay for me to call you Rick, right?"

'That's... its hard to tell,' Gatre thought to himself, staring blankly at the invisible soul before him, 'Its not perfectly true, but not false either... Whatever, it doesn't matter anyway...'
"It seems we're not too different from one another..." Gatre looked at the ground, remembering his tragedy, "Jessica..."
Gatre shook his head slightly, regaining his composure, then began to laugh slightly, "Wow, I guess I have really gone off the deep end, huh?" Gatre looked at Ricky, grinning, "To think, in a few moments, we'll be at eachother's throats, and we're going as as if it's a normal day! One would think we'd be shaking in our boots!"
