or if everything reaches maximum entrepy(sp?). this being where everything in the universe is the same temperture (about 3 degrees above absolute zero) once this happens everything will stop. including time

if our plant was 3 degrees above absolute zero, we would be too. everything would die, and if the universe was the same temp throughout everything would be dead in a sense.
and also, since time is measured by motion, and the colder you become the less your molecules move, time would indeed stop.
