if you go onto materia and select the one you wish to know how much AP you need then it will say in a big box to the left. different materia needs different amounts of AP though.

Most materia sells for the same price at the amount of AP they have gained, although some only sell for 1 Gil (mainly commabnd materia)

First to master the monk class  (probably my proudest/only Funender achievement)
