its not a graphical adventure. its the exact same thing as the Pen and Paper varient. but done through an iRC client.
so basicly your just playing D&D in a chatroom with other players and a DM.
imagine a MUD, but with a human controlling everything. so the only way he wont understand you is if you use l33t speek.

well not a world wide board game.
there are usually up to 10 people. you are adventurers in a medievil setting. the DM sets up the world and you run through it. doing quests, or just roleplaying a character.

to get the iRC client (the program we use to chat with each other)
X-Chat
though it expires in 30 days. so you can buy it for $20, there are ways to get around this as the Linux version is free, and it is open source, so there are LEAGAL ways to get around paying $20.
mIRC this one isint as good as xchat. its supposto expire in 30 days, but it doesnt, so you can use it for as long as you like. (free essentially, so they ask for a donation, but if your going to donate, might as well spring for xchat as its 30x better)
either will work.
next step:
RPGuild
this is my forum for table top RPG's. lately its just inhabited by my friends from school and those from the club they made at the high school (so about 7 people so far, which is fine)
there we can help you to make a character. if you've never made a character it could be confusing. if you have (and have played D&D) then it should be smooth.

i know many people like that.
mIRC is fine, its compatable with Xchat as they all use the same online servers.
we use the iRC server Gimpnet. (sounded neat)
