Anyone ever play this game?
I skipped Final Fantasy IX, it is the only FF game I havent played. Due to the fact that it was on the PSX after I have grown used to updated graphics from the next gen consoles, and that it looked kind "kiddy" I never bothered playing it. However my friend said that it was good, was it?

I've played it... it's not a bad game, but I thought that it was nothing to write home about either. It was just kinda boring, I couldn't get into the story, but I liked the way the battle system worked. (it was similar to FF VI's espers... I just didn't like the ending either...

i realize no one will probably read this but as you can see from my other post i've played this game. i liked it a lot, mainly b/c i didn't like the modern spin they put on the other ff's before it. i mean, i know they were trying to come up w/ something new that would sell but they just didn't appeal to me as a final fantasy game. i guess i like the old school stuff better so i enjoyed ff9. good graphics and entertaining to play (besides the mainly unnecessary sidequests) and the main character is much more likeable than squall. anyways, it would be cool if you had more stuff on this game in your site

I agree with monday, this game pwanted fun, right up there with ff7 and 6(3snes). ive put many hours into this game and countless nights lol and loved evey minuet of it. replay value is very good compared to most of them. a bit plus on the graphics not ps2 good but about as good as u will get for psx.

Really good game.I agree with StarScreem.I loved every minute,hour and day of FF9.

I loved FF IX. The characters were cool. They had Vivi the black mage like from FF1, The game was moderately easy. I comleted it in 4 day like playing it every moment I got sort of thing, And it was the first FF I ever had. I still reckon FF7 is better and more harder.
