ok do you know the under water reactor and the tunnel to it where you see the fish swimming around ... well have morph materia equipped get into a battle in that area with the skeleton ship .... the ship with a massive skelleton that hits you ... morph that to get the item ...guide book... of sorts then go to the guy in kalm who says he is going on a journey to pray for his friends souls and he will go to a drawer and then hell give you under water materia.......... allows you to breath underwater .........
or in other words no 20 min time limit to beat emerald weapon... i hope that i have helped...........

The only thing I was never able to find was the added cut material.
There was another question of why there was a "last elixir" in the norther caves.
I also heard from someone that there was a way to get infinite gil early on in the game. It was probably just a rumor but it still got me curious.
What do the 1/32 soldier items do? Do they have any use?
I mastered this game over and over again probably at least 30 times. I would get clouds finishing touch before I left midgar on the first disk. I would max out everyones stats, and blow though the game in 3 days. It truely is one of the best classics in the ps1's history.

ok a few questions now to tell you .......... be thank full im nice...
1. the added cut materia is on one of the icy paths going up the northern crater when you start go to the right side of map and go up and right it will be very hard to see cos its light blue and in the snow you may have to go up and down the trail several times ill put a map in my gallery to help you ok...
2.that was meant to mention that wouldbe one of the last elixers you would obtain from chests not including the ones you get from monsters
3.well that is a complete lie ... you cannot get infinite gill in the start
4.the 1/32 soldier is an item that when you collect enough of them and use them a few little army men toys will march out and shoot the enemy 9999 also the same as one of cait siths slot attacks

I don't remember, It's been about 2-3yrs since I actually played the game. I could've just forgotten about it. But it doesn't ring a bell. Where do you find it?
I remember using the Hades and the added effect material and being able to cause a bunch of side effects to monsters.

dude that is a lame combination ... i have my own combinations that allow you fight ruby weapon and kill him without kotr... oh and you get the vagyrisk claw from the fort condor you must purposely loose the battle and fight the monsters your self and when u win the battle you get the vagyrisk claw.... and i know every materia combination thinkable

Did i say something wrong?
And, me too... You know your either good or very very board when you can fight and beat the weapons without the materia.
When I let the bad guy come and fight me I remember getting something but it was a random set of items. I remember getting several different attack potion items, but no weapons.

no u didnt say nothing wrong just you need to experiment wid materia more .... like using mime + counter .... if you get attacked you will mimic your previous action even if it is kotr with w summon ,,, just take practise... and any items will be auto mimiced as well so timk about it

I didn't say anything about the way I arrange my materia. I wouldn't even look at a weapon until I had mastered 5 kotr and had 3 master summons.
Only until i mastered each character's stats did I even look at a weapon. Materia is for nubs. The weapons couldn't even touch me, ever hit missed. Using fury, omnislash, and a mime materia I could take down a weapon in 5 mins with only cloud. I had 10,000,000 experience on just cloud alone.
I imagine you already knew you could mime a limit break......
Look at your character stats. If every stat isn't 255 then your still a nub.
