anti-virus (FREE)
any one know where i can get good anti-virus, free if possible, please, oh and a link? I dont wanna get the wrong place, thank you.

I think that the only way you would get good protection without spending any money would be to get a pirated copy of norton or something. Unless you know someone who bought it recently you could mooch a copy off of them since they allow multiple computers per disc lol

I use the free version of Avast and it seems to do its job just fine *shrug* In addition to a free anti-virus program it might be a good idea to use a free (and trusted) spyware program such as Spybot Search and Destroy (also from a trusted site like cnet.com) Here's the link to the Spybot download to save you a bit of trouble =)

Thanks Enfy! i have done this ( Avast and spybot) and spybot has already deleted something on my pc and warned me about avast ( it was some sort of change)

if spybot has detected something, you might wanna try malwarebytes, its free to use, does an awesome job at finding malicious items and trojans, even better than spybot. I've had one (antivirus 2009, its a nasty mother of a virus) virus that spybot wouldn't even touch, ran malwarebytes and my problems were soon fixed.
as for virus protection, i use avira antivirus, its free, easy on the resources, and idiot proof.
