i liked it more than most i think
most other people have told me they at least got tired of it once andput it down for a while
i didnt do that although i didnt play a lot everyday liek some people may have i didnt have the time XD
but it was a fun game, like most people say
not really a final fantasy feel to it
but a good game in itself

yeah its fun to play and moat characters are pretty cool
square enix are trying to fix a problem they dont have
need to keep the game simple like the old ones

i wonder why ppl don't like the game much ; ;
personally, i'm fascinated XD yeah, i can't play everyday everyhour because the semester just started and i'm working, but i definitely like the game.
sure, not as much as ff7, but that can be said for any other game out there XD
the story we kinda hard to follow at the beginning, since not much is explained, but after chapter 11 it gets better ^^ i actually like it that you can just fight around XD

I think people said why they didn't like the game XD
I'll add Eidolons to the list of reasons too, because when your character does more damage than your eidolon does in gestalt mode, it makes the whole minute-long summoning process/changing to gestalt mode seem so pathetic. (Best said in Fangs voice)
They seem more of a last lifeline if you are about to die. (Because your characters return fully healed)
But my main gripe in this game is that if you don't have the absolute correct strategy, you will die. Which seems stupid. Now before you say I'm doing it wrong or whatever...Why didn't they make the game more along the lines of, if you go in with the wrong strategies, then you can get HURT, but still have a chance to fight back? They didn't and you end up dying every time until you figure out a strategy. Given the amount of times I've died the game has really lost its feel, because the fights don't seem epic, they don't seem like you've struggled and fought hard and set up a good victory from the jaws of defeat because you just keep resetting until you get it right, and when the set-up is right the battle is systematic and you beat the enemy easily.
It feels like the game is more of a 'coach' game than an actual game. I'm talking about those games where you coach soccer sides or cricket sides. set up teams and strategies, rather than playing as the team in real time. Because once you're in battle you only auto-battle and change paradigm when you want to switch strategy.
I mean honestly I spend more time watching the HP gauge, the attack meter and what paradigm to select than the actual moves being performed. Today I only just noticed that the weird camera movement that kept happening was Ruinga XD
Other than that the game is great. ^^. I don't like saying negative things, I really don't but it is late here and I've just hit another wall in the game lol

well i enjoy the fact i challenges you to think i mean i may not have liked it if you got put back to a save half an hour ago but you get to redo a fight right from the bat so nothing is really lost
i never had a real trouble with non bosses, and only 1 boss and the harder hunts where a redo over and over thing, the boss was only because i challenged myself to use the same party throughout
most battles are fought the same way, the battle seemed fast pased and having to have the skill to know what to do and when to do it and to be able to do it at that time was fun for me
i get what you mean though stappy i just have a different view on it
and yeah i was probably spending a lot of time looking at the hp gages too XD
i guess one comlaint i have would be how linear it is , i mean i think people overeexagerate when they say 12 or whatever was linear compared to some of the older ones and dont realise maybe that you didnt stray THAT far but you could free roam.... but this one seemed the most linear yet, and with a lack of mini games or using a chocobo outside of pulse , but it had enough action, story and cutscenes to keep me entertained i think it was a good balance of cutscene and gameplay for what it was
and being pretty didnt hurt Xd

I didnt have a huge problem staying alive....I mean sure I died...but on anything that wasnt a hunt it was a max of 3 times and that was only ever on a boss XD

You're using the wrong Eidolon Stappy and it's called push start then push select (or maybe just select) and the transformation movie is canceled.
Use Vanille's eidolon and you do about 40000-70000 damage to an opponent. Use Lighning's Eidolon if the opponent is near death (go to gestalt mode right away and use the triangle attack [good chance ti insta kill low hp opponents]. Haven't really summoned the others so I don't know their strengths.
Also Vanilles Eidolon can take down a Adamantoise and Adamanturtoise for a good minute or so. Enough for you to caste like 5-10 Deaths on it.

I only just figured that out a week ago  (both of those points Maeby) but thank you.
It just so happens that I HAVE to fight an Adamanturtoise but I'm not sure if I have death or not. I died on my first attempt (Why am I not surprised?) and had to leave it at that for now, but I'll be back.

The easiest way to take them down is to have three sabatours....I had Vanille, Fang, and Lightning. You summon with Vanille and cast imperial, deshell, deprotect...do not use gestalt mode...just let it time out...after all three are cast start casting death...even after the summon times out the Adamantoise will stay on the ground and wont attack for a good few minutes giving you time to cast death over and over while Fang keeps recasting deprotect and crap like that....I have only ever failed to kill one like this twice...and I killed a lot of them XD
