This month, I had the chance to interview one of Final Funender’s most known members, Haine! She’s a moderator, an awesome signature maker, she has her own show, she's a generous member, and did I mention awesome signature maker? For those of you who have seen Haine's work, you know. For those that haven't, you would be amazed! However, most of you are wondering why she isn't online most of the time, well, that’s what we’re here to find out!
1. When did you first join Funender and what was it like?
“Let's see... Haine joined on 23 July, 2005, lol, it was awhile ago, lol. It was really quiet when Haine first came, lol and on the side showing who the last poster in each section, you could only see Haine's name there. The older members were still fairly active though, you get instant reply, lol. After one post, you’re off to reply to another post. The game wasn't added on yet when Haine joined and there just weren’t as many options like now, with siggies, avies, gender, etc... lol, speaking of gender everyone thought Haine was a guy here at first, (o_O) but in reality Haine was the only girl here, lol. Probably the funniest thing back then was that nothing stayed on topic, like now but way worst, lol. Haine also started her siggy making career here too, lol.”
2. Being a signature maker, what kinds of advice can you give our members?
“Huh, that's a tough question. When you’re starting out, try not to copy other people's style and just fool around with program. Try to make things balance too, because it'll look strange if you don't. Let's see, rendering is a huge thing, so master that before you try mastering other techniques!”
3. What kind of art programs do you suggest?
“Paintshop Pro was Haine's first program and it’s really good for people starting out, because everything is made simple and understandable. If you want to do more though, Photoshop is the best, because it’s used in professional graphics editing it allows you to a whole lot more. Mastering Photoshop is pretty hard though, because there's so much you can do with it, lol. Haine still isn't that good with it!”
4. Where do you get your ideas for your sigs?
“Well, from the picture itself, lol. When Haine's looking though her pictures deciding what to use, one picture would stand out, and Haine would immediately think "Oh, this would look great with this and this." Also, from looking outside at the different textures (ie. bark, clouds, etc.) and angles of things.”
5. Tell us a little bit about yourself
“Haine loves anything that's cute or pretty, lol, so Haine falls in love with things really easily. For example, Haine has a huge obsession with voices (especially male voices) and Haine would never get tired of hearing it over and over again, lol. Let's see, Haine's hobbies... Making siggies, listening to music (mainly Jap.), watching anime, reading manga, eating, sleeping, and dancing! Actually, it’s an endless list, lol, that's why Haine's always broke (^^"). Oh, and this is an important bit, Haine is the King of everything! Remember that!”
6. Many people have been wondering, why do you speak/write in third person?
“The reason why? (^o~)/ Hi-mi-tsu!” (Secret)
7. Tell us a little bit about your show
“Haine's show is called Oishii J-musicuu, and deals with the Japanese culture and music. Normally, Haine plays 4 J-pop or J-rock song and in between each song. Haine talks about random things really, lol. Haine tries to reply to comments in the short time she has at the beginning, lol. Haine's actually surprised that there's still listeners, even though Haine hasn't done a show for a veeeery long time, lol. But anyways, Haine hopes everyone enjoys them!”
8. When is you’re next update?
“Hrm.... When Haine stops procrastinating in doing a show”
9. What are your favorite artists?
“Oh wow, lol, do you really want to know? Haine has a very long list, lol. Well, Haine will say her top four! In the J-pop category, Haine would have to say Utada Hikaru and Mika Nakashima. Both of them have beautiful voices and their songs are all so different. Actually, Utada Hikaru was the one who got Haine into J-music after listening to her English version of "Simple and Clean", lol. In the J-rock category, Haine has to say Gackt and L'arc en ciel, because they are just classic, lol, not their music of course. They are just amazing in Haine's opinion, lol, because all their songs just capture you. Plus, have you seen the number of fans they have? From that you know they don't just have pretty faces, lol.”
10. Anything you want to say to your loyal fans and members?
“If frogs could fly, what would you do?
P.S. Kya! The I-cats are just too cute!
P.S.S. King Haine has fans?”
For those of you who don’t listen to Haine’s show, and love J-pop, J-rock, anime, manga, and video games, I highly recommend you go and check it out now! You can find it here! Not only will you be hooked on her show, you will also want to triple glomp her like the rest of us who has heard her! (And yes…Haine has fans :DDD)
