Aeris question.
Hey I have a question thats bugging me. It's for anyone with an answer. I'm a big fan of FFVII, and I like to think I know quite a bit. But something that has annoys me is that for the longest time, I thought when I saw people on the net refer to her as Aerith, that it was just some idiot that couldn't type to save their life. But lately I've seen it more, and was thinking. Is that perhaps her name in the Japanese version? Or possibly a name she is called by in later games involving her, like the ever horrid Kingdom hearts series? Any light shed on this would be amazing. Thank you.

It was a mistranslation
please edit ure topic to get rid of the revived part....thats telling ppl that she died and thats not fair
anyways...the jap. version was aerith and I guess sometimes it was never translated

and also if you watch the reminecenc of final fantasy 7 at the menu before the film they have translated it to aerith on there

Its similar with ff9's boss "Malaris" Should be Malarith (I think).
But I tend to think along the lines that, its pronounced Aeris, so that way of spelling it is correct, its not the English way of spelling the "S" sound by using "th".
However, Sephiroth doesn't sound right with the S sound at the end so I tend to say it how it is spelt.
p.s. kingdom hearts is NOT rubbish.
