The door closed quietly behind Argos who let out a sigh, "It's getting late...but i've got to practice...oh well..."
He began to walk for what seemed like hours and stopped besides a small bench, he sat there casually but soon moved to lying oh his back. His eyes began to flutter rapidly at the moon "Everything seems so...out of place tonight." he murmured to himself. He began to freeze over his hand and then defreeze as he flexed his fingers as if it was just a simple exercise. "The air is too still...master told me that when the air stands in time as the moonlight shines into the future...new things come to town, change..." Argos shook himself awake and stood up, laughing manically at the waterside "I'm thinking too hard about this...I should just..."
A rustling behind Argos, he turned quickly but there was nothing but the darkness around him. "Must be nothing..." he said as he returned his gaze to the water.
A shaded figure stood, at the edge of the water. He appeared to be floating. Argos simply smirked, "Good day sir!"
The finished touches were put into the dish as the woman turned around, putting a small bowl on the dinner table. "Hikari! Dinner's done if you want it!"

Takir had walked out to a nearby street, one that was quiet. It was never busy here, especially not at night.
He sat alone on the sidewalk, with his right knee up and his right arm resting upon it, staring up at the night sky. "It sure is pretty tonight, don't you think?" He lowered his back to the ground, removing his arm from it's prior place. "I hope you have a decent view... sis. I wish I knew... what it looks like, wherever you are." Takir put his hands behind his head and sighed. "I almost wish I could let go, but I just know you're out there... somewhere."
Takir sighed again before he continued to stare at the night sky, eventually slipping into unconsciousness.

Star immediately came downstairs and seated herself at the table a little awkwardly. She looked down and realized that her feet were about four inches off the ground. What aws more strange to her was when she saw a TV.

She then remembered what Rai-chan told her about what people in this world do as a past time.
"People would sit down with a bunch of snacks and look at a glowing black box!" She would explain, trying to be the instructor for once, "They would do so for hours until they either run out of snacks or fall asleep!" She would say wit a little bit of exitement.

That wasn't a very helpful flashback, Star thought to herself as she continued to gaze inquisitively at the television set.

The figure stood in an uninterested stance but his eyes soon shot up to a bright yellow as he began to bellow out a bone chilling laugh. "You...child...to...careful...else....danger...follow..."
Argos looked quizically at the figure "Danger? What danger?" he shouted in anger, almost begging for the answers to come storming into him.
"Great...change...it...comes...the, moon...when...comes...eclipse...you will see..." the figure dissapeared into the night, a wisp of smoke the only trail that followed.
Andrew Damphousse walked a fast pace down a dirty street in the downtown district. Tomorrow is a school day and the man in his thirties had been out drinking again. Who could blame him? It wasn't the exact career choise he had in mind when he went towards education. He thought he waould end up a professor at a university level making six figures, but to his dismay, he has been stuck with elementry level english classes for eight years.
"Stupid fourth graders," he muttered to himself, "do they honestly expect me to babysit them all day?"
Suddenly, he developed a strong urge to have a cigarette, but upon pulling out an old lighter from the pockets of his jeans, he realized that it had no fluid left. He stared at the empty lighter for a moment, cussed, and threw it away. However, his need to smoke was too strong to let such a minor setback get in his way.
He looked to see if anyone was around, retreated into an alley, and crouched behind an old dumpster. He placed his right hand, palm facing up, a foot in front of his face where he still had a freash cigarette in his mouth, and concentrated for a few seconds. Suddenly a ball of flame was conjured from his fingertips. Andrew took a good breath of smoke and let out a sasisfied sigh.
It wasn't too long ago that he discovered he had this unique ability. He then proceeded to practise everyday, developing his gift, his talent, his skill that put him above every other normal person. This was what kept him quite relaxed regardless of his occupation. He would see it that he get stronger each passing day, and then reveal his true talent to the world. He would be famous, he would be rich, he would be adored. The thought of this idea developed a rather large grin on his face.
"Looks like we're having a bit of fun," a voice from deeper in the alleyway suddenly can out and made Andrew jump up.
"Who the hell are you?" Andrew demanded, his smirk all but gone. He was afraid of this, someone discovering his power before he could really master it. Everyone wanted power, they're all jealous.
"It would be a waste of time feeding information to a corpse," the sinister voice responded. Then, the figure appeared where a little bit of the streetlight revealed a dark hood as well as cult-like symbols over his cloak.
"So you saw me," the nasty smile reappeared on Andrew's face, "I can't have that happen, so I would like to invite you to...a game."
"Indeed," was the answer before the dark figure drew out a long, silver katana, "Let's play."
The cloaked figure dashed forward, katana held high, cutting through the air. Andrew dived away at the last moment, but the missed swing did not discourage his enemy. The hooded man dashed towards him once again, but this time Andrew had his shot ready. He thrust forth his arm and bombarded a fireball that caused a minor explosion and some smoke when it made contact. However, his attack made contact with the sword, not the wielder, and this gave his opponent a chance to swing his weapon down upon the prey.
Andrew screamed as he watched his own right arm seperate from the rest of his body. The sword made another slash across his body and Andrew can do ntohing but fall down. In his last efforts, Andrew tried to kindle any amount of flame he had left and at least burn the man. He held up his left hand and focused all his might. His eyes could hardly make out the target, and he knew he had to fire, he had to shoot, had to do some damage to teach the cocky *.
Flame appeard in his hand, drenched in his own blood.
Yes, he thought, now to...just-
Both andrew's thoughts and actions were cut off as the man thrusted his katana through Andrew's palm and down his only functioning appendage. As the blade was removed, the arm split and splashed in the puddle of red mud. Andrew lay there, crimson rivers pouring from what was once a functioning human body.
"Your magic...is mine," were the last words he heard before the edge of the blade was stuck between his eyes.

Argos awoke, his face dripping with sweat as he lurched himself up almost launching the covers off of his body. The sun shone brightly through his windows and almost blinded him.
"Late night? You know, i've told you already...if you're going to go out for a drink at least ask me to tag along!"
Argos let out a sigh and turned his head to face his roomate, "I...I don't think I was drinking..."
"Oh yeah? How come you're awake so late?"
Argos turned to face his clock but the suns glare blocked his vision "Uh...the sun's too bright...time is it?"
"Time is it? Sun's too bright...yeah, you haven't been drinking...anywho...you're late to homeroom."
"Great..." argos sighed before sliding his half awake body out from the cold comfort of his sheets. "Strange dream..."
Justine spotted the girl as she came down the stairs. "Over here!" she called out, "I made some chicken alfredo. you can take your time eating, i'm gonna go watch a movie in the other room. You can join me if you want. I'm thinking of watching either the Fifth Element or Mulon Rouge. Would you prefer one or the other?"
the woman spoke these words, but she was walking away while doing do, sorting through her movies in the next room. "Or maybe Infection. Do you like asian horror movies?"

Star looked at the meal specially prepared for her. It looked delicious, almost like one of the "royal" dishes her older sister kept insisting they must eat (and only eat). However, these delicious sensations were quickly overshadowed by her confusion. Just what exactly was that lady talking about?

Justine popped her head back around the corner, looking into the kitchen with a small, rectangular box in her hand. "A movie. I think I'm gonna pick the Fifth Element. I feel like Bruce Willis today. Any objections? You can eat in the living room if you want. Just don't spill on the furniture."

Star decided that further questions might only bother the lady so she decided to simply follow her to the living room and see what she was talking about.
She feels like...Bruce Willis? Star only wanted to observe, but these observations are only making her more confused.
She was now regretting not asking her little sister about what 'normal' people do as a past-time. Rai-chan loved these activities and it seemed almost like common sense to indulge in thse things after seeing how happy she was all the time...well, most of the time.

As Takir gazed into the deep dark sky, he began to notice the stars slowly fade into nothingness. He began to stand, in attempt to examine the sky closer; but as he rose, he realized that the stars were not all that was fading. Now on his feet, he looked around as the entire world began to fade into nothingness. The vehicles on the street disappeared, followed by the surrounding vegetation, then the buildings, the paint upon the surface of the street. Then everything slowly lost any remaining color. Takir could only watch as the entire world melted into abyss around him.
"What?"
It was the only word he could muster. In his mind he knew that what he was seeing was impossible. The world could not simply melt away around him, yet somehow it did. Mere seconds after the world was lost, a blinding light emanated from the sky in front of him. He threw his right arm in front of his eyes to shield them from the light, and when it no longer shown directly at him, he removed it. In front of him now stood the silhouette of a woman. He couldn't make out any details, but he could tell that she was incredibly beautiful. Step by step she came closer to him, and he found himself unable to move. Her long flowing hair blew backwards as if forced by a great wind, yet the air was as still as can be. Soon she was within arms reach, and she threw her arms around him. As soon as her body came into contact with his all he could feel was intense pain. Her seemingly harmless gesture crushed his body, his bones cracked, broke, and shattered. He could feel the blood seeping from his mouth. Yet still he could not move. Finally he felt his torso break in half under the pressure. She released him and his broken body fell lifelessly to the ground. As his head made contact with the ground his vision blacked completely out.
"Mister?" The ominous voice seemed to come from every direction at once. "Hey mister, are you asleep?" The voice of a very young girl slowly returned his vision to him. He saw the white concrete of the sidewalk before him. "What... happened?" he inquired. He rolled his body over to see the face of a sweet little girl and the starry night sky behind it. "Was I... asleep?" He asked. "Maybe," the girl said. Takir sat up and looked around him. The world was intact, had it really all been a dream? The girl skipped away happily, like nothing had happened.
Takir rose to his feet, "I should head back, it's obviously not a good idea to sleep on the sidewalk." and he wandered back to his home.

The woman waited for Hikari to sit down before she pressed play, the movie starting. The movie started off in egypt, a man trying to read inscriptions on the wall and yelling at a small boy who was holding a mirror for light.
