sorry to revive an old topic but i accidently promoted myself and thought it was important to let yall know what happened to me.

i accidently promoted myself on level 50 and i thought i was going to go back to level 10 but i didn't. i stayed at the same level. so it was not a bad thing for me since i had not mastered the promoted class yet either. only think i had to do was re-equip and all my equip fit so i was ok. but maybe someday a safeguard can be added. maybe even a way to un-promote.
cable, can u edit the topic header? took me forever to find this one. the subject should be about accidently promoting or something.

Yeah, I know that you remain the same level when you promote. The thing is, Iīm not sure, but I think thereīs no confirmation screen before promotion... It would be great if there was an added one. If there already is, just ignore me

That would be both a good and a bad idea... The thing is, you can un-promote and master a hard class after reaching level 98 with an easy one (i.e. Hero to Swordsman) and it would be quite unfair. But it would be great in your case for example.

ok i did it again but nothing happened since i had already accidently promoted before.
how about moving the promotion icon away from the inn since that is the one i am trying to click on quickly and replace it with the inventory one? get it away from the ones we use all the time, like inn, camp and battle. doesn't everybody click really fast to play? if its the first one upper right it would be farthest away from battle, inn and camp.
good or bad idea?  easy fix?

If you're prone to accidentaly promoting then try to master the non-promoted classes first XD
|
First to master the monk class  (probably my proudest/only Funender achievement)

Not really sure about that; a confirmation screen shouldnīt be something Fuey canīt handle with; after all, he added the FF Versus XIII by himself ^^
As for unpromoting... I donīt really love that idea; but a way to prevent accidental promotions would be cool.

I think its easier to add a new forum than to add a screen to the RPG- The RPG follows a certain format, which you probably have to change quite a few things for a new screen to be put in, whereas putting in a new forum doesn't require much change.

FuN has switched the Promotion icon with the Other Players icon to help avoid an accidental promotion when using the Inn icon in Headquarters. Also the promotion message is in red now as well.
