AC Pros and Cons
What were the things you liked and disliked about the movie final fantacy AC?

The animation was beautiful in every aspect imaginable. I busted my nuts when i saw tifa and reno. I think those two characters were done the best.
I liked the fact that they were able to bring in all the characters even though at times it kind of felt like they just plugged them in just to be there. But still it made me feel like it was more a continuation of the game.
I also liked the fact that they had zack with aeris. His character wasn't mentioned alot in the game, and it seemed kind of fitting that he would be there beside aeris in the afterlife.
I thought the idea that cloud and tifa were running a delivery service was cute too.
I really liked the idea that cloud found peace with the living and was able to let aeris go and find the startings of a family with tifa. If you ask me thats is the true plot of the movie. This idea that the plot of the movie is all this business about defeating sephiroth again is for the birds.
Cons
To me the story was underdeveloped. Like they sat down around a table and said, well to do this we need sephiroth to come back as the bad guy, how can we do this. I think this was what they did instead of using loose ends from the game to make a sequel. The sickness was really a poor excuse to bring sephiroth back. I think the storyline could've been done better in that respect.
The chase scene at the very beginning was pointless. If they were looking for "mother" cloud wouldn't be the one to know where she is, especially if they could sense her presents.
I didn't like the fact all the old characters were shoved in at the end. I think they could've had them spread out throught the movie. Like they could've had Red13 in the mountains sitting around when cloud was running around on the motorcycle. Like little cameos of the characters. It just seemed like a big blob of friends that they just decided to lump together around the end of the movie.
From my point of view it was unnecessary to have bahamut terrorizing midgar. I understand that the badguys stole the materia, but you would think they would use it to protect themselves while they got "mother" and not use it just to attack midgar for no real reason. That just seemed like a * reason to get the team back together.

The story itself wasn't underdeveloped, at least to me. It takes a lot of listnening and watching to pick up the subtle hints to the plots of the story.
As for Bahamut, he wasn't just added into just to terrorize Midgar. His purpose, if you took the hints from Kadaj and from his actions, he was digging in underneith the monument to look for Jenova. The reason all the charaters came back was due to Reeve and Cid's airship. Little cameo's would have ruined the movie. And why not all at the ending? They should have been there to see that they're fight was a success.
And actually, Jenova's head wasn't in the box. What was left of it was nothing but cells. Jenova's head was used in the movie so the fans could get grips of what was happening.

I liked the film but do agree with the initial poster, it did seem, towards the end that all the characters were shoved in just to have them in it.
