A small trailer for Phantasy Star Universe
Man this game is going to be so awesome, you guys have no idea what you are missing. Here is a small trailer for the game:

The key thing about this game is that there will be a ton of your friends fighting all of these monsters along with you online. This game is the only game to completely make me forget about the real world, I woudnt care what time it was or anything, I was totally pulled into the game and it felt like that online world was the real world since there were so many things to do.
Another cool thing is that the game adjusted to the time of year, for example if it was winter the online world would be snowing, and there were special events for each holiday, like on valentine's day and on easter there are special items you can find that you can give as gifts to other players. The main thing about this game were the 100+ different weapons and fighting techniques to go along with them.
I loved PSO, but Gameshark users were able to use codes to hack the game to death due to Sega's laziness to prevent the cheats from entering online. Hopefully they will get it right this time, and even with the cheaters the game is still enjoyable since you could always take your friends to a server and lock it using a password.
Also take a look at the screenshots, on screenshot 4 gives you a good idea how the lobby is like, you join the game and there are tons of people hanging around that you can talk to and ask them to join you to battle monsters.

the Graphics are ok and the battle system too....is this the game are talking about Funender..it looks cool ohh by the way when is it going to start..

Yeah it is not known for it's graphics, but the online experience is just through the roof when you have your friends playing along with you. I am not sure when it comes out all they say is that it will be released in 2006.

Cool, thanks. Maybe I'll get it. I've been dying for an online rpg thingy. First I was going to get WOW. Then I heard about the Matrix Online, and because I'm a massive Matrix fan I was keen on this game, but the reviews haven't been promising and my computer wont be able to handle it, lol.
The graphics dont bother me, honestly, when I'm into a game I don't notice the graphics. The gameplay is far more important and if its online experience is great then it should be awesome.

Don't get the wrong the graphics are beautiful, however you know how Sega is know for their colorful look compared to other games that try to be completely realistic that is what I was referring to. If you are looking for an online RPG then Phantasy Star Universe will be it.

You need the modem and I think some games come with a subscription. I dont think they even make the Playstation harddrive anymore but dont quote me on that  I was never really interested in any next gen online gaming so I never bothered looking into the details.
