A little tip for new ps3s
So since I've gotten my job working with the ps3s at sony, I've started learning a crudload of ways and "loopholes" around the warranties and stuff like that.
Out of all the things I've learned, I thought this one might come in the most handy.
What it is, is basically extending your brand new ps3's one year warranty by one more year.
The way things work is that, the moment you buy a brand new ps3, you've got a year of warranty in case it breaks, etc.
Well, the thing is, as soon as you've reported it broken, you've got exactly ONE year to send it in.
So, in other words, let's say there's exactly one day til your warranty is over.
If you call that day to report your ps3 just broke, you're technically still in the warranty period.
So from the day you've called you've got one year to send in the ps3 for repair.
(Your ps3 doesn't necessarily have to be broken. Since we have no way to tell whether it is or not the moment you call)
Meaning, if your ps3 was in perfect condition when you called, and doesn't break down until... 7 months from then, You can send it in and still get it repaired for free, since you reported it broken while still in the warranty period!
Keep in mind, I only know for a fact that this applies to the U.S., and I'm not entirely sure if they've got that same rule outside of the United States.
Sorry if people already knew this, but I didn't realize this until recently XD
Also, I wouldn't know if it applies to Nintendo and M$, so don't ask me XD
