This thread has been necroed too many times.
That aside however, I have to agree with Arc here: X-2 devastated an otherwise fantastic story.
Yes, the ending was sad, but that's what made it good. There was none of this "happily ever after" crap. The entire story was built around sacrifice, you expected a good ending? I personally adore stories with a sad ending.
Tidus matured a lot on his journey, but the end is the end. Bringing him back defiles all that he came to be.
I loved FFX, it was the last FF that I personally enjoyed. In fact it is the latest of the sequentially numbered series that I actually managed to complete.

X-2 did do that, yes.
It was a shame that the sequel was so bad.
Especially brother... 
Is it me, or is it a terrible thing to write so freely about FFX, when we should have put spoiler tags in our comments...

But in all seriousness, X-2 wasn't about Tidus, it was about Yuna, maturing... in her own way and furiously wanting her love back, doing anything it takes when there is even a glimmer of hope. It was about a strong female lead, and maybe the did girl it up a little too much but it also expanded upon the how the hell is Spira going to work now? question.
I look at it as a what happened afterwords. It doesn't take away from the story of FFX, it just adds to Yuna and I guess Rikku for that matter.
Just remember, Girls just wanna have fuun, oh girls they wanna have fuuuuuuun!

Yeah it was about Yuna....just doesnt make any since though...dude was a dream fgs....cant just come back....I think that the ending of FFX was so sad added to it a lot...not all endings have to be happy...and FFX-2 just screwed it up....the music was good though XD
