Arg, it's not federal aid... crap, why can't i think of the real name.
but it's horrible. people who are capable of making more will use the fact that they can't make more than 200 dollars a month just to get out of work. That's money our government could use to HELP people, people who NEED it.

My mom works with a lady who has 2 kids, but won't marry their dad because that would ruin her free heath care, child care, and dental. Plus, she wouldn't get a check anymore. She also refuses to work more to try to earn a little extra money. But my mom, who works her *SS off, doesn't have any of that.

Well I understand welfare in certian cases...if you are actually making an effort than fine...or if you actually have a condition where you actually cant work fine...but there is no excuse for lazyness...and also if you cant support the 2 children you have...you should not be alowed to continue to make more just to get more money...if you have children and cannot find a job in a manditory time period and do not have proof of actually trying to do so you can say bye bye to the ability to make children XD
i say that we should just do the china thing and allow each family to only have 1 kid... but make it two. If you're deemed a worthy parent and seen as being able to take care of more kids, then i think you should be allowed to have more. If you want more kids but the state thinks you're not capable of handling a baby, i think adoption should be presented.
I also think we should not be allowed to adopt outside of the country. Oh, you're paying 2000 dollars to get this kid that hasn't even been born yet out of africa? that's nice. What about the 11 year old that's been thrown around from home to home and kicked out because their new families didn't like them? hmm? what about the ones that will end up on the street at age 18 and become involved in drugs and gangs? what about them? I'm sure one of them will be more than happy to ROB your damn african baby...... *is angry at a specific person right now*

sorry crazed...and its because people either like to adopt babies or very young children. Once you reach a certain age you can basically kiss your chances of getting a family goodbye.
