well, i don't want to sound like a fan boy, but i'm not so sure of ps3's dominance this round. don't get me wrong, i'm sure there are great games on it, but i'm not so sure of the BluRay tech. it reminds me alot of the betamax/Vhs war back in the early eighties.Without the Wii, Sony would probably ship twice as many (or more) Blu-Ray playing game machines, this year, then they are currently selling. throw in the fact that Paramount and Universal studios are HD exclusive, and Blockbuster now offers both formats instead of just the blueray and ya got yourself one heck of a fight.

I'm waiting on the new Devil may cry, thats gonna be sick on 360. and live isn't that much, twenty bucks for 3 months. like 50 for a year. and I'm curious, which game releases are exclusive to the ps3? sad to say, i need to re up my game informer subscription.

Id say the PS3 is the better built console of the 2 but the 360 has more games out atm. I chose the PS3 partly because of this because 30% of 360s are guaranteed to break. I also know the games will come in time for the PS3 starting very soon with Uncharted Fortune, Ratchet and Clank and Heavenly Sword which was recently released.

Hmm no "neither" option  I have been a gamer all of my life (I remember playing Pacman when I was 2 years old) however I am disappointed at this generation. It is no longer about providing great gameplay and emerging yourself in another world. It is about the corporations taking advantage of your love for their franchise and getting as much money as they can by charging for every little thing. Not to mention they add on $200 dollars worth of half baked PC related features that have nothing to do with gaming. The games are hyped up and take 5 years to come out and when they do they are sub-par. A total disappointment in all consoles. I can only only assume that their success is because they now target people who only like eye candy and other non-gamers.

I 100% agree, the last gen had great games and good graphics. I don't want to be a downer, but I think FF13 will be really bad. As Fun said, they are so dependent on the graphics, they are starting to ignore game play.
FYI, Assasins Creed isn't just coming out on the PS3, it is coming out for the 360 and PC too.

after reading this i'd like your opinion about the wii which is obviously cheaper, less graphics depending and based more on gameplay... or party games i gues...

I guess ur right. I never really thought about it before. But, i still would like to have one of these consoles because I can't play any games without them.

The single player games like Twilight Princess and Sonic are awesome. there's also a load of multiplayer games already out or coming out soon, including Super Smash Bros. Brawl which is Wi-Fi enabled. It's definitely the best console out at the moment.
