Cactuar
So what's the big idea with cactuar? I know he gives you little exp but 10000Gil...but what else do you know about cactuar? You think you could share your knowledge with us? =D
For example
-They are in the Corel prision, but it is really hard to find one. Is there any way to make encounters with them more probable? Maybe a luck plus materia or something?
-They are really hard to get hit by physical attacks and magic won't harm there, if you take too long in getting a lucky hit they run from battle. Any trick you could share to prevent it from running?
....that's pretty much it I guess XD, if you can answer any question then do so, or if you have one about this peculiar foe then ask! ^-^

As far as i can tell they are good for getting gil but you can also morph them into a tetra elemental.
As for where you can find them they have their own island in the southeat of the map called cactaur island.

Meh at least Tsuki is still pretty active anyway...I know summons work really well against them...that's what I used at the start of the battle.

Morphing them into Tetra Elementals is the real key behind them.
Also, cactuar island has nothing but cactuars on it, so it's not hard to find them. Not sure about how to kill them, it's been a while. Anyways, point is, morph them. Also, an enemy lure might make things less painful.

How much do tetra elementals sell for?
And i think i just saved limit breaks for them..
But i wasnt fighting em til i'd levelled all my limits up to the last level.
But then the best way to get gil in the game is just to grind out and max an All materia and sell that.
That's the quickest way i found.

Did some quick research and it would appear as though Tetra Elementals sell for 1 gil. (Hint: You're not supposed to sell them)  I'm not 100% certain on this though.
I always thought that the purpose of getting the Tetra Elementals off of cactuars was so you could kick more ass.  Was I mistaken?
Also, selling Alls is a very old, and useful, strategy for obtaining gil. Once you've obtained a triple growth weapon or two, grinding out Alls becomes a breeze. However there's also a point where you really don't need any gil anymore.

I always just saved a limit break for them.
I stay furied the entire game though with hypers. It makes the game a lot easier. meteorain or final touch does the trick nicely
