I just wonder how much coding will be needed to change the titles. Right now its Funender has made it so that we get automatic titles for everyone, which is pretty simple. Adding moderator as a title only happens occasionally, but I don't think it would be the same code for making your own title.
In any case I think it would need a lot of Karma, and a good ppd, so that only those who have stuck in here for ages will end up being able to change their title.

That's waht I said before; 10,000 posts and I think 700 karma...if not, then one has to pay a lot of money! ^^

It there were stats on how many posts you've(as in anyone not just you Lucky) made are longer than... 5 words. It should go off that. I could go to the forum games and get like 800 posts in less than 1 month.

I really think that all of the proposed requirements are too steep. I also very seriously doubt that this will ever be implemented.
Do you realize what 300 Karma is asking for? That's three hundred log-ins, across three hundred days. Not to mention the notion of 700 Karma. I don't know about you guys, but to me that sounds insane. Especially if this is the only reward for Karma count (and unless I am very out of the loop here this would be the first). Talk about a way to push newbies away... I don't know about you guys, but if a forum asked me for 700 log-ins across 700 days to get the only Karma related reward, I probably wouldn't stick around long enough to get 20. 
Then there's 10,000 posts. You know there are people in this world (like myself) that would end up with 10,000 Karma before 10,000 posts? I'm logged in daily, and usually stay logged in overnight. I don't really make enough posts to keep up with that. Sure I have more posts than Karma, but that's because a good 40% of my posts predate the Karma system. I have 0.62 PPD. My Karma will surpass my post count, it's just a matter of time. But at the same time, I am active here, I make posts that I believe will contribute to the conversation. If a post seems irrelevant then I will not make it. I can't tell you how many posts I've typed up and then gone "Nah, I shouldn't post this" and then erased it all.
Seriously, the suggestions made for requirements so far will end up handing this idea to all of the oldies/regulars, and prevent anyone else from ever getting it.
The idea of a second title is nice, but it should be more widely available. The titles that are in place took time and effort to incorporate, so would a system that allows custom ones that overwrite the originals.
I don't know, this whole thing is just looking very grim and cruel to me... Maybe I'm just not looking at it the right way, but I'm sure I won't be the only one....

How about a timer? You can only change your title once every three months. Maybe longer if things get out of hand. Though again, not sure how complicated it would be for FuN to implement a timer for each individual member, but considering all of the other variables that everybody has, like hp, class, postcount. XD I couldn't imagine that it would be too hard.
How does that sound?
Cuz honestly, the kind of people that would change their titles for kicks, or to throw everybody off, are the people that have a ton of posts... >.> You know, Arc, Dazzy, and... well.... everybody.... XD wow this forum is full of nutjobs.  Myself included.

Hmm.... Sounds like a bit of a hassle to me, for FuN & Kim I mean.
Maybe... FuN could implement a sort of request system. So per say anytime you want to change your username or title you could fill out a little request form that would be sent to them for acceptance. Sort of like joining a UG. Except you know, you would have to put in what you want as your new username/title.
I'm sure FuN's got more important things to be dealing with though. It would be nice if we could get something like this, but I doubt it would be very high on the priorities list; you know?  Me thinks that a response from FuN or Kim would be nice, maybe they could clear up a few things about possibilities...
