I got to borrow a friends PSP for a while and play this game...and it rocks, seriously when i get money ima buy a psp just so i can play this game...and crisis core...and BoF3...yeah thats it XD
he had a lv 100 Terra which he said was the best character followed by Squall...now those being the only two lv 100 characters i couldnt get a sense of perspective however trying to beat Tidus with Cloud is an ass >.> tidus is ridiculously fast, however it was funny taking about 60% of his life when i landed an aerial combo followed swiftly by braver XD

Meh, not a fan of Terra. Of course, I'm more of a swordsman than a magic user anyway, so...
I've got all characters at lvl100. Squall is definitely my favorite character to use; half because he's a great fighter, half becuse he's my favorite character anyway, lol. Cloud is a great character too since his exmode grants him guard crash which is nice for those people to constantly block. Tidus is nice too once you learn how all his moves work.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that Terra is the best character. But as magic uses go, she's the sh!t. Her EX Mode allows her to doublecast any and every spell she has, up to and including Meltdown. Holy, Holy, Flare, Flare, Ultima, Ultima, EX Burst... That's one combo. My problem with Terra is that her EX Burst is..... Anticlimactic? Seriously, she shoots shockwaves at the enemy. The end. Sure it's useful, so is every EX Burst. But sacrificing Doublecast for an extremely dull cinimatic attack is irritating. Most of the time I just cancel it and finish the opponent some other way. You know, with my Doublecasting. Unless I'm about to run out of EX, then I'll just use it for kicks.
Squall is just plain fun. My only issue with him is that he has a bravery attack that can pin the opponent to the ground and combo neigh-infinitely with itself. Revolver Dive is amazing though, as is Blasting Zone and Rough Divide. I love Squall because he very much throws back to the original game. IE: He is very entertaining to play as, and his EX Burst execution is the same, and I loved that from the original. I kind of wish they had brought back the randomized patterns from the original, but whatever.
Tidus is "That Guy." You know, the one character that exists in every game, where if a player becomes adept at playing the character, they will be neigh invincible. I myself can no damage the final story boss with Tidus...... My issue with Tidus really is that stupid-looking grin that never leaves his face...
Sephiroth is rather difficult to use to full extent, but he's really good if you spend the time to figure out how to play him. Timing is the key here, so learning his moves well is imperative to success.
Anyways, now that I've spewed out some opinions of mine on characters...
I'm glad you enjoyed the game Kuro and I would definitely suggest picking it up when you get a psp.
And again, this thread inspires me to do some more studying on the game and writing up helpful stuffz for it.

Well, I doubt you'll be able to reach across the world. XD At the very least I would expect it to be region locked. And again, I've no idea if it even works with Dissidia.

...what? he's the closest person i know that has a psp AND dissidia. a friend living next door has a psp but he won't buy dissidia, he wanted me to lend it to him (as if XD)
and i like most characters ^-^ the heroes at least, haven't played much with the villians, though i just can't seem to use the warrior of light right...he seems stiff...wait it wasn't him, it was errr...Firion! yes! XD but i've lvled him up a bit, and he moves better now ^^

i had a go with most of the characters, i started out using zidane but he seemed kinda weak, i then tried Kuja and couldnt even land a hit with him, i thien tried sephiroth and got hideously wasted although my friend later told me that Ultimecia isnt the easiest opponent to take Seph against.
I really like the game overall despite the fact that i lost a lot it did however REALLY annoy me how i would spend most of a fight pummeling someone down to near death without taking hardly any damage myself and then they just use some uber move and kill me in one shot...REALLY irritating -.-

Say what? I've gone through the entirety of the final story... and I have all the characters at 100... the AIs have never used a move that I don't have... Cloud might have used Omnislash Version 5 on you... and yes, it is overpowered, but guess what? The player can get that attack. Other than that, he has Braver. Then there is Finishing Touch, a move that might seem like it is aerial, but it's executed from the ground. Also player obtainable. They might have some accessories that aren't regularly obtainable, but that's different.
Yeah, the AIs in the final story dodged way to much, and were hard as hell to land an attack on, but they don't cheat...
And Kuro: Not sure what to say man, it sounds like you might be overusing HP attacks, which isn't draining any bravery from your opponent, allowing them to build up for one massive blow. And Sephy takes some serious getting used to, and your friend was right about Ultimecia, if anything she is the hardest for Sephiroth. Also, Zidane seems a little lacking at lower levels, but he gets really good. Not sure what level you were at when you played him, but my room mate mains him and kicks some very serious ass.
