NEW RPG GAME!
I decided I would design a new RPG game. The name is currently undecided and i'm willing to take suggestions.
"The world of Velvon, it is drawing near to the end of the 3rd Empire. Life is evolving at a rapid pace, the year is 326 and the world is beggining to decay. Armies lay waste to their enemies, merciless leaving nothing but destruction and grief in their wake. The Imperial Legion is expanding it's reach across the continents, in the small continent of Branca nothing is left alive, the Legion cut a swath through the small villages of this land, raising metropolitans for their ever growing Empire.
To the north, portals to the outer rim are growing ever more frequent, their pull tugging at the core of the planet. The northern continents are fading into darkness, with only the brave Draconian tribes as their long forgotten protecters. They perish in great numbers, the world is changing, the coming of the end of the 3rd Empire brings turmoil across the land, the people fret for their lives as a new leader of the darkness raises up and seiges the throne."
This is my basic prologue so far, as you can tell the game is very war orientated. The game is being developed using RM2000, Enterbrain, ASCII, Don Miguel's extended version.
A few features of the game:
An in depth storyline for those true RPG fans,
A wide armoury for those collecters,
An ever expanding world with new areas unlocked,
Achievements gain credibility in the newly expanding world,
Rich personalities of characters,
Great amounts of exploration to be had,
Mini-Games to earn money when not in combat.
This list is subject to change.
Now, I know many of you aren't true RPG fans so I decided I would take a development screen-shot of the final boss battle.
And now one of my first map (mapping will be updated, don't worry)

good old rpg maker.
i think as long as you focus on developing the characters (heroes) the story will naturally be engaging and thus people will enjoy it.

Ah sounds pretty cool I started with somthing like rpg maker myself it was a good time then lol. But then decided I would start working with php and stuff to make a better more vast rpg  . But I wish you luck on the RPG.
