I think its gotta be the Red Mage with the !Time ability for all people who are magic users but i think if your going to be fighting throughout the game, it's samurai.

Dualcasting Summoners all the way. Dual Bahamut = 8000 damage to all enemies = a lot of carcasses. And then there's Phoenix, Sylph, Leviathan...Summoners own.
