i started it like a half hour ago and yeah, the start was pretty saddening.
edit:
just finished it.
wow. it just kept getting closer and closer to the end and i was like "wtf are they gonna do now?"
good stuff. totally good.

Mmmmmmmm
I liked it, but I wanted to love it.
The movie felt too rushed and should have gone about half an hour longer to fit in character emotions early on, and the big explosions etc later on.
Also I predicted everything that happened in the movie as well, which is disappointing honestly.
The conclusion was good, being more true to the original Stargate theme, but long live BA'AL!

I think I'll have to watch it again. As it stands though I think the Ark of Truth was better. The only problem with that movie was the opening of the ark scene, which was dreadfully weak lol
